Solution for dead party finders due to DC travel.

They put an emphasis on roulette which is not challenging content lol, now if I am wrong so be it, but it does seem like they are pretty much just doing "casual content", that's why I was confused why it was even posted here in a party finder discussion

Genuinely curious. What content is challenging through DF?

Just give us cross DC PF/DF already. Materia needs it to survive.

I would only consider savage and ultimates as challenging and maybe some extremes could be somewhat challenging on release. But other then that the game is really easy.

Those FC buffs are pretty much worthless as not only they offer very small beneficial effects, you can activate the same buffs at max level anywhere with items from your GC squadrons or pvp vendors anyway. The best would be cross DC PF and DF. Of not at least a decent incentive for doing PF on your own DC or a penalty, not to stats, but maybe to loot rolls if on another DC. That penalty wouldn’t affect statics as they can plan ahead of time who gets what.

Can't you que in DF for everything that isn't:

1) The current Extreme.
2) The current Savage tier.
3) Ultimates.
4) Delubrium normal (GOD why is this NOT???)
5) Crystaline Conflict.
6) Rival Wings.
7) In-instance content (Baldession Arsenal, CLL, Dalriada)

While that seems like a lot, even with ilevel inflation, P8S and Ex3,4,5 are still "challenging content".

...I don't think DF pops for those very often, but they absolutely ARE available via DF and not PF. As I understand it, JP players use (I may have this backward, but I THINK...) PF for training on a fight and, once they feel confident with it, que DF to farm it. West doesn't do that same thing at that level, but I'd wager there are people that use DF for "challenging content" from time to time.

Sure you can queue for older extremes/savages. Are you ever actually going to do them through DF? From my understanding, JP only DF current tier savage/ex. You're not goin to DF Alex Savage, Stb EXs etc. For the average player, DF content is not challenging in any way.

Release the functionality. Make it opt-in, if the JP crowd (or anyone else) want to stay isolated.

I consider primal to be active still but on my dynamis alt it's definitely dead.

Dynamis is so dead you can't even find a crystal tower run in alliance duty roulette.

Yeah, cause everyone and their neighbor is telling people on Dynamis to go to Aether LOL. It's the default response now for anything other than RP: Go to Aether.

And clearly now that there are two threads from people on Primal saying that it's affecting them, it's not just a Dynamis problem and it never really was to begin with. The shift started when cross-DC happened in 6.18 and Aether was unofficially named the "content/raiding DC". It wasn't as extreme as it was now but you could see the trickle of people starting to congregate in other DCs and servers (specifically Balmung and Aether as a whole). Dynamis didn't come in until 6.28 and the issue became a lot more noticeable when that happened as a lot of people only used Dyna for housing while still doing their content on Aether and their home DCs, so Dyna wasn't even really given an opportunity to thrive. Now you're seeing populated DCs (like Primal) starting to suffer as well as it's become engrained in the community that Aether is the only place to get content done quickly. Honestly wouldn't be shocked when 7.0 hits if Aether has congestion issues again from everyone trying to log in there for their quick queues and we're back to 1h+ waits again like 6.0.
