Cross DC travel requires you to be logged out of the character to use. PF requires you to be logged in to use.

It does seem there doing that to try to convince the dev team to get rid of datacenter travel by having the entire primal crystal and dynamis pile onto aether even more to stress out that datacenter more then it already is.

How about people meow off and stop coming to aether...ok dynamis you cool to come. Your DC dead anyways. Crystal and primal...do your raids and stuff on your own DC's.

I think conceptually it would look like PF being a database all datacenters in a region can access with the information of the players and when the PF queues into an instance all characters get ported to the same instance/server so they can raid together. How that would look like on their proprietary IP is anyones guess. But yes, by exacerbating the issue it will inevitably become high priority.

Its not like people have anything to gain by trying to fight this and staying in their own DCs. All that will net them is vastly longer wait times or never filling in worst cases.

In fact, it's mostly already happened. There are a couple of holdouts here and there, but I'd say close to 90% of the population is already raiding in Aether.

Quite frankly, besides the minor annoyance of DC travel this could just be the new reality, which is fine, but not ideal. If this is truly what the playerbase wants, for this not to be fixed, it's not a deal breaker. But, it could be better for sure.

no, the server can handle it, they just got upgraded as well, its so the devs see that the rest of the servers are an empty wasteland in PF and they need to fix that. It's pretty unacceptable. noobs suffer the most since they dont know they can hop

The devs must already know most DCs are wastelands now. It's happening in JP too. The issue is already as bad as it can get. Crystal and Dynamis are dead in the water. Primal is starting to wither away as well despite holding out well.

They can't shut down DC Travel anymore because most statics are entirely mixed DC parties. The splitting of that many statics would be devastating. Not only that, but people will all jump ship to Aether like they did during the Crystal split.

They could hypothetically shut down DC Travel and block all transfers to Aether/Primal/Crystal for several months so people don't pile into Aether immediately. I would actually be kind of down with this cuz it would force people to DF and PF on their own servers with no chance of trying to run away. Even still... this is pretty extreme and would hurt Dynamis players in the short-term (but I believe would benefit them in the long-term as only Dynamis would be available to transfer to/character creation).

Cross DC PF is the only thing that can be done without blowing up everything imo.

Please stop sending your worst players over to Aether to troll my PFs. Please keep them on your DCs.

definitely should at least close PF,Duty finder should be fine since people would actually have to communicate with each other to play so not really killing the meet friend aspect and would kill some of the ads

Restrict party finder for DC travelers and 90% of this would resolved, I doubt NA has the balls to solo queue like JP
