Yep, it's fixed on my end as well. I did a quick ping command to the Aether datacenter in PowerShell just to be sure, and it's coming back at 58 ms, which is within my usual range.
Fingers crossed whatever they did will have fixed it for a while, at least. But if anything happens again, I'll keep this thread handy.
Just woke up and checked. Looks like it was fixed shortly after 2am.
Lasted about 14 hours. Any color that isn't bright green or grey is lost packets.

Looks like I spoke to soon. Ping times literally just started going back up to around 80-100ms and climbing. No packet loss YET but that didn't start till a few hours in yesterday and keep getting worse as the day went on.
Similar results on my end when I disconnect my VPN. Ping times increased from the low 60s up to the 80-100, just like you mentioned. No packets dropping here either.
Aye. It got as high as 100ms with no packet loss so far this morning, but has gone down to around 60 to 85 ms. Still within the "acceptable" range, at least for me.
But, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread again.
Packet loss has started now. Again, each red line in the lower 4 graphs are lost packets. Ignore hop 9 as that's normal and doesn't cause game problems.

Ping times started jumping around at 10:40am EST bouncing between 60ms (normal for me) up to around 110ms.
From about 12:30pm EST the pings have started to level off around 100-110ms and start causing packet loss.

What is going on in Sacramento this week that could be causing such issues, I wonder?
Or is it simply due to AT&T/Cox having terrible routing choices?
SE and NTT need to seriously get on the ball at the Sacramento node with the IP address ending in 57.
That's the culprit I'm eyeing, based on the chart Krojack posted.
This seemed to go away for just a moment then is back. Blowing 110 average MS with enough packet loss to be unacceptible.

Are we to get ANY announcement/fix/etc for this from moderation?!
The lag is so bad for me I can't farm tome stones or anything, can't farm for the event, and can't finish off my pvp stuff. I can't even do my pre-patch crafting. I hope they fix this soon. I set aside time to get things done/ ready and now I cant. At this rate all my work/ plans for the day one patch are gonna be RIP!
