What helps for me is checking out the activities the biggest Negative Nancies on this forum engage in ingame. (Usually, not a lot)

I agree. People get banned from the forum for unacceptable behavior and just create an alt and start trolling again. There needs to be a better punishment.
How? The moderators are able to see any reported post and able to decide if it breaks the terms or not. It's not mob rule.
If an individual tried to instigate a witch hunt by targeting an individual and spam reporting all their posts, they'd be banned themselves for abusing the reporting system.
People who use these forums are a miniscule FRACTION of opinions and thoughts. You’ll find it is a select few bad actors who like to stir up the proverbial pot and drama. You learn to block those accounts quickly and ignore them.
You're probably just another sockpuppet, but if you would have bothered to even glance at the post following mine, you'd see that the quoted original post used rather small font. The OP deciding to maliciously comply should remove any reason to believe that they're posting in good faith frankly.
Meanwhile on Elemental:
1. Players get Doxxed, have google docs written about them over small personal drama.
2. The roleplaying community is full of sexual predators, some of the club owners even harbor these individuals knowing that they are sexual predators.
3. JP players were incredibly toxic towards English players, especially after the announcement of the Materia Datacenter. One look at the JP forums was enough to see how that went. (Check Quazii's YT channel for the video).
Nowhere is perfect, but i can tell you the JP forums and Elemental as a whole, is certainly not perfect.
Oop looks like it was a react video, here is the video link for the actual video.

I may be many things.
"sockpuppet" isn't one.
His post was entirely readable, and it was akin to "hahahaha! You used your instead of you're! You so dumb, I'm going to mock you and deride you while you're trying to make a legitimate discussion point".
Also not sure what you mean by the OP maliciously complying. The person who made the giant multicolored version of his post was a different user. I also couldn't tell the difference. The original post was readable just fine to me. /shrug
And how does changing a font size to make it larger after someone (who ignores the entire point to nip at them for their font size) so that said person could read it without complain mean they aren't posting in good faith? Hell, read OP's other replies. Seems pretty genuine to me... I don't see malice. I see a person who made a snippy first post defending making a snippy first post based on what someone else did after the fact. You can't use ex post facto to justify initial actions. Especially since his action seemed to be aimed to comply with your request (again, he didn't do the obnoxious multicolored chaos, that was someone else) and his other posts have all seemed to be genuine good faith.
