They can pair programable controllers, mice and keyboards with PlayStation.

The fact fantasias dont give you a grace period for a purchase that costs almost as much as the subscription is insane to me.

Let SE lose money.

SE should hire the Launcher/Dalamud devs and just ship it as the new official launcher with all of the QoL plugins enabled. It should be possible to include it on PS5 too if it's an official update.

All you have to do is take a look at FFXI to understand where FFXIV is headed in terms of third party tool response.

You're missing one thing though OP, there's a growing community of people selling mods for FFXIV. A number of modders are paywalling cosmetic mods for FFXIV and even in some cases, selling gshade configs. There's an entire market of paid mods that's basically a second cash store for a game that already has a cash store. Depending on how you want to argue this, you could say buying a cosmetic mod is a lost sale for the official cash store. Plus with other mods like Mare, you can have other people see your purchase if they're also using Mare.

The problem ist very different to "losing money". If you tolerate 3rd-party-tools then it could make some kinds of content unplayable for non-3rd-party-tools-users. Because it will start an arms race: the content is too easy with 3rd-party-tools, so they make it harder. The 3rd-party-tools will become better and make the harder content easier again. SQEX reacts to it with much harder content ...

And at this point, you will now have to use 3rd-party-tools or your static will kick you out. Because now the hardest content could be impossible to do without them.

So i can understand why SQEX does not permit 3rd-party-tools.
