Sad with lottery results

What ever happened to having lottery and none lottery housing. I'm pretty sure Yoshi said once there was going to be wards that was first come first serve.

Feeling this rn. My FC'd been trying to get a house for a while now and we lost the lottery, while people are buying out whole wards under the same FC again. I really wish they'd change how this works because we're unable to do anything like submarines without a house.

They need to add some FCFS and timed ones back for the people who actually want to do those. The lottery ones can exist for the people who want those.

Simple solution would be to create a pity system. There are players who have been trying to get a house for years. I'm going on 4y now and have failed 15+ bids in a row. This time around I was beaten by a gil buying level 68 sprout.

I'm excited. I can't wait for those salty tears from new home owners losing to auto demo

Eventually people gonna game the pitty, join bids with excessively huge bids and rack up score.., but it's a good idea nonetheless.

I sympathize with the frustration and wish SE would scrap adding to wards and go with an instanced housing system so it is available to everyone.

I'll take lottery over first come first serve with random hidden timers and relocators getting an unfair advantage any day as those were our options since SE isn't scrapping the system.

The existence of player islands shows it is feasible since there's no limit on how many there are. Just treat it like islands with instancing and it'd go much smoother.

My secret hope is that Island Sanctuaries is SE's test bed for seeing how the servers hold up to allowing everyone to have their own instanced area and that in the near future they'll apply the lessons they learned to instanced housing.

There were a number of smalls without bids in the Goblet. It's what I grabbed, and now I can enter the lottery again without worry. There are also the new servers which still have housing available.
