Wards 1-6 and 25 are FC only. That's plenty. And to be fair, FCs have had months to buy a nearly uncontested plot at this point. Keep in mind, if an FC wants to bid on a plot in an FC/personal area, they could throw all their bids on one plot increasing their chances against the personal buyers.

The thing is this... if you don't own a house, go after a small. Then at least you have your foot in the door. When more wards are added, go after a medium or large and have nothing to lose.

I don't feel like this proves me right at all. All worlds that existed prior to 2022 are being treated the same regardless of population differences or variation in housing based activity.

One thing that's both good and bad to see is SE allowing both FC and personal purchase in some wards. Good to see in that we now know for certain it is possible. Bad to see in that it's being done on the worlds where it will only complicate matters instead of improve things while it's not being done on the worlds where it could have created an improvement.

I can only guess that SE feels that the majority of FC housing demand has been met and so this allows the majority of available housing to go toward those still trying to obtain a personal house. Those who have been creating shell FCs no longer have a noticeable advantage since they'll potentially be competing against dozens of personal buyers unless they enter in the FC only wards.

Without having a clearer idea of how many players are still trying to obtain their first (or only) house, it's hard to say how this is going to turn out on most worlds.

That's true only on some worlds. Other worlds sold out on FC plots much earlier and more FCs have continued to be formed in the meantime.

It's anyone's guess on how many FCs were formed back in November after the original announcement the new wards were coming.

I'm glad I don't need to personally worry as I have what I want already but I feel bad for those who are going to be sitting on edge until we see how the first lottery after the ward addition turns out.

And its not fair at all to force people who have been bidding for 25 rounds now on smalls and haven't gotten a damn thing to have to go for smalls when they should be able to have just as much a chance at a good plot as others. 'Go for a small and get your foot in the door, go for large or med later', well there wont BE those good meds or larges most likely for a LONG time to DO that.

There are a lot of us. Only 2 of our FCs 13 members have personal housing, and pretty much all but 3 want to get personals. I have been bidding in every round and never won a damn thing whether it was against 200 people or 1. There are usually upwards of 700 bids on my world per round right now, and that's with many I know giving up who don't have a house and waiting for the new wards. I'm the only one of the 8 that has been bidding. I also know several other people on other worlds still trying for first house.

My god now you have to compete with people with legit FC and FC shells combined! RIP Medium and Large plots...

Any homeless FC should bid on at least one small to insure they get a plot. If a FC has a number of members they can also bid on the Large or Medium of their choice but realistically unless the housing is available like with Dynamis you're going to have a lot of competition for those and especially those in prime locations. Placing all your eggs in one basket is a bad idea.

A homeless FC or even private buyer for that matter bidding only on a large or medium in the first round with only 6 wards on established servers (30 if you count all 5 housing districts) is asking to continue to be homeless. FC's at least have the option to bid on more than one house and if they are lucky to get that large or medium losing the gil on a small would be a small penalty to pay.

Waiting to bid until the morning the lottery closes is also a good idea in my view to insure you can find a plot with 0 bids or with only a few. A house is better than no house.

They had to program the "Bid for Private"/"Bid for FC" window, maybe they might limit the fc bidding.

There is a 90 degree difference in rotation between main division and subdivision. The front of LB-11 faces south while the front of LB-41 faces west. As a result, LB-41 gets lovely sunsets.

LB-11 does have one advantage though - the moment someone enters the ward, they can swim straight to your house XD

I feel like from overall plot location, the subdivision is much better to watch sunset and better lightning from sun's direction. Main division plots like Goblet 19 is pretty bad because the windmill shadow will cause dizziness, while plot 49 don't have that problem at all :)
