Same here, for me the Island is my safe place where it seems I own the world. I stay there laughing at my funny minions, feeding my animals, taking care of my crops, if this is what farm looks like I’m in! I’m so thankful for this precious gift Yoshi P gave us :)

The forests near my home are full of ticks this time of year. I can do without the lyme disease.

The island is kinda fun, just as something to do while I'm waiting for a duty to pop. Not something that'd keep me subbed just to play it, but it's not awful.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, the IS beach is more enjoyable for me than the real one because I don't melt the heat, get a sunburn or stung by a jellyfish or have to clean sand out of the car afterwards. As much as I like AC:NH I also appreciate that it is smaller scale and right now there are not as many things to check on.

True, but ... why not doing so in one of the other ten threads about IS? Why, of all things, come to a thread, where the OP explicitly ask about the things people like on IS?
