Well, this can help the support team to identify the problem more easily, I guess.
If you already send them the famous ticket, now you have to wait for their feedback. Keep an eye on your e-mail for news.
I hope you the best wishes in recovering from this mess!
I'd like to think an overall check of whether it works was done but I feel like they don't properly test the systems being swamped by users trying to access it.
For example, the housing bug happened during the first wave when the largest number of winning plots would have had to be processed. When Endwalker launched, people had the issue of being constantly kicked from queue because of how many people were logging in at one time. Now, we have this, most likely occurring from too many people trying to use it at once.
I'm not an expert either but I feel like there should be a way to properly stress test these systems beforehand so issues like this can be limited.
Surprise surprise that the new feature is completely overloaded because everyone wants to try it at the same time.
Give it a week and then it because useable for everyone.
as expected new travel system breaks day one with hundred of thousands trying to use it.
I always love the "wow why haven't the internal testers caught this" Line
I mean they can't really test for literally tens of thousands of people slamming the system because it's a new feature, sure they can run simulations and load tests. but you ain't going to know what's going to break until it's in the player's hands.
They also most likely designed the system around a normal workload and not the "Haha I wanna see the funni ERP server" memes. what will die out rather soon.
I wouldn't dare touch it right away because i suspected this could happen. The main issue for me was that once started it can't be cancelled so you are essentially in limbo until the queues clear.
