Players have ruined deep dungeon for people who want chests

I... never made the point it was just for leveling. And if we're to hold the same standards now as we did a decade ago, I really don't know how to help you.

And though this might BLOW YOUR MIND WOW SUPER COOL BRAIN MOMENT: What the community uses something for will ultimately become the purpose of the content in question. Consider Bozja or Eureka, as a fine example. Bozja is used as nearly exclusively an exping area short of a few rewards, despite that very much clearly not being the intent. The Baldesian Arsenal in Eureka is organized in Discords and whatnot despite the original intent being for it to create a spontaneous raid group on the fly, to say nothing of being a failed love letter to XI. It matters little what you intended. The operative word, after all, is "intent". You intend for something to serve a role, but ultimately, it'll serve whatever role the community deems fit.

So, y'know, be quiet. Or at least use your brain first before your mouth opens.

EDIT: I'm also noticing you never completed either DD, yet you still feel the need to pipe up. But I suppose that's none of my business, Mr. Knowledgeable.

What does getting to 200 have to do with the hundreds of hours I've spent in the content? The content that would be under discussion, in fact, since it involves matched parties and not the fixed parties required for the 200 run.

If you get mad about someone going to pick up a chest or kick, then you obstruct one of the purposes of Deep Dungeon, and that is pretty much end of story, you can get reported for illegal kick/obstruction, as it is not ok, especially not if the chest is there, also it take so little to pick it up and you may even end earning some gil on it as well.

Why do deep dungeon at all?

It's the least fun method possible of levelling a job; even sitting through the pre-6.1 "such devastation" cutscenes was more entertaining, as at least you can chat with people.
Glamour? The weapons are literally un-textured, and ugly af.
Money? Anything unique you can get from there, bar rare drops on the very lastt floors, goes for 1gil.
Actually trying to hit 200, or go as far as you can solo? Sure ... but you've had 5 years to do that already.

It falls under difference of playstyle, which allows for people to kick others for any number of reasons. "It takes so little" yet it feels like a drag and causes friction when the rest of the group doesn't care for the chest or the weapon. The best thing to do is to make your intentions clear at the start and see if everyone is on the same page.

I do not know what rewards will be tied into future deep dungeons, but as others have mentioned the weapons are of variable quality and do not necessarily have widespread appeal. The HoH weapons were hideous in my opinion, and the difference between the normal glowing Padjal weapons and the Kinna weapons are night and day. If I needed a new weapon for functional reasons, the easiest thing would be for me to go buy one on the marketboard instead of grinding one out in Deep Dungeons.

What FFXIV players want is fast battle content that they don't have to wait a long time to get into. I was shocked to discover that PvP would fill this void so early on for me, but I still miss Deep Dungeon and getting to use my max lvl PvE kit. Bozja, while fun, just isn't the same and doesn't bring that sense of completeness and satisfaction I get at the end of a Palace or HoH run.

The Glass Pumpkin and Firecrest are gorgeous and from a game I love. I'll hoard as many as humanly possible.

I don't agree with OP in the slightest, especially the little crony from earlier who is criticizing content they don't even engage in, but I don't think this is a valid reason to be against the suggestion.

The game devs explicitly state that any party content is done how the party wants to play. There is nothing stopping you from asking your party to do X, and there is nothing stopping you from forming your own party with like minded people.

I would agree that the chests could use some polish to make them more appealing. Level appropriate vendor-trash gear might be a start.

Taste is subjective. I'm generally not big on glowing weapons, but I do love my chakrams.

What i starting to notice is the lack of players doing PoTD, sometimes takes around 10+mins of waiting.
Also is just wierd some people are like rushing cuz they have something to do or feel is a waste of time....im like dude...you're playing a video game....like you could be doing something more important with that time you spending playing lol
