I only care with tank gear so it's ezpz for me :)
Here are my experiences with the raid’s loots & queues up till now:
• 1st week: Healer Top. Obtained in 3rd run. Queues were relatively fast, under 5 minutes
• 2nd week: Fending top. Obtained in 2nd run. Queues were okay’ish, around 12m or so.
• 3rd week: Scouting top. Obtained in 1st run, yay! Queue was instant!
• 4th week: Aiming top. Obtained in 8th run (yuck). Queues were relatively fast, each under 5 minutes.
Next weekly reset my goal will be the caster top. Honestly, are we even surprised at this point? RNG’s gonna be RNG. While I agree they can be bad at times, but what else can you offer as solution? I remembered one of the forum dwellers proposed to have the raid token to be tradeable for gears but only for when the content is already outdated; strictly for glamour purpose that is.
If that's the case then I would assume you're more likely 10th in the queue or something and too high up to see anyone else filling healer and DPS slots next to the people who are 1-3 in the queue.
Whether it's DC-based or role-based, I have had no issues queuing as DPS so far. It's always less than five minutes wait.
There is really three main things that contribute to long tank queues for alliance raids, other than CT, if you are queuing for them directly.
1. The limit of three tanks per raid.
2. People who only have CT unlocked due to story requirements.
3. People who queue naked so that they end up in one of the CT raids.
The longest I had to wait, on a Wednesday evening, as tank was 35 minutes.
Just go in as DPS and roll on the tank stuff. If this is for gearing up for dungeons, maybe go another route. If it's for glamour, just relax and it'll drop eventually. The way these series work, the first one remains relevant all the way to the end.
It should be noted that this is your best chance of acquiring tank gear without having to queue as tank to do so. When people can only roll on a single piece per week, they're less likely to be after that specific piece even if they can claim Need on it and you can't.
