FC Wards split is legitimately awful

It should have been a clean 50/50 split, FC are no more deserving of anything.

Even more so, I think SE needs to pony up and provide enough for all FC and all players too.
Its shameful tbh.
They tend to go 1/2 way with most things they implement.

I get where folks are coming from, but this is honestly more than usual. Most housing patches they make all the wards 100% FC only.

FCs functionally provide a lot more benefits and house more people, so they really should get priority. That said, the system as a whole is just insufficient. I think people are finally waking up to that, but it's been like this for years so I doubt anything changes.

Personal housing is, for the most part, quite antisocial and a imo not a very efficient use of server space. Not to mention could be viewed as a central if not *the* central impetus for FFXIV's botting problem. If housing were fairly money-independent and only limited to FCs, we wouldn't really have a real estate market and all the terrors that accompany it.

Mayhap you reserve your judgement until the first round of lottery is over. You assume that everyone wants a personal house but perhaps, there are many FC's that haven't been able to secure a house because there are none available...due to them all being owned as personal houses.

Go forth FC owners and claim your right to housing!

I assume you are here to discuss and not pull posts from public discords to paste all over the internet, though, I could be wrong.

Assuming SE either wants to push housing towards FCs, or has hard numbers to back up why they are splitting it this way. I would be very surprised if the FC wards don't fill at the same rate as the personals. A 2-person FC is just as valid as a 50-person one. The 30 day requirement will deter people/bots making new FCs, and by the time 30 days passes, Ishgard will all be claimed.

I don't see the problem. FC houses are clearly way more in demand and the housing districts were always meant to be for FCs rather than 1 person owning a house they'll never use anyways. The amount of houses I see never used, with nobody around them is absolutely insane.

Besides, if you really wanted a house, you would have got one way before the lottery system was added. Your odds are much, MUCH lower now even if it was all private districts rather than FC.
