in the end the only way to really say what you like more is to lvl both of them.
i'm a dragoon main since 5.0 and i still love the job a lot. but i have to say that little i've played with reaper also is fun. dragoon is straightforward but has a lot of ogcd's. movement is great with both jobs. never understood people talking about dragoon animation lock (yeah i know it was bad in the past).... its gotten a lot better with the enhanced double jump. and the also fastened jumps overall at some point. stardiver (is that the english name?) does have one but with that you have a small timewindow to work with.

I have both DRG and RPR at lvl 90. To me RPR felt more fun simply cause it's new. However it's quite simple and before lvl 80 it was very boring to level. I have a problem with Soul Sow, Harvest Moon, and Harpe, but other than that it plays fine. Unless I'm lagging then the Enshroud phase is a pain.
DRG however... is a lot harder to appreciate. DRG has probably the best job evolution in the game. All of it's stuff helps build to different stuff that normally effect other stuff. As such, DRG didn't change at all from ShB. It just got easier to do the stuff in ShB in EW. Thus even when you get your new animations for old abilities it kind of feels somewhat boring as you are basically still doing the same rotation as the last few years. But at the same time it's a very good rotation and really shouldn't be changed you know? The level 90 ability looks cool but you only get it every 11 button presses during single target, and every 7 button presses in your AoE rotation. As I said DRG has the best evolution by far so it would be very hard to mess with the rotation, but only getting new potency and new animations for old abilities does seem a little boring.

I have DRG at 90 and RPR at 81; DRG is still good if you liked it before, it just has more of the same. I feel like it's a nice clean job with good progression through levels. It continues to be my favorite melee DPS
RPR at level 81 feels more like a level 60 job. It's fairly straight forward and maybe a little _too_ clean. I haven't played it synced, but I imagine that it may feel a little dull at lower levels. That being said, it's going to be added to my list of "chill" classes with RDM and DNC. Those are what I play whenever I just want to relax given how generally simple their gameplay is.
DRG still feels like performing a piano solo though and feels really really good.
I'd suggest picking up RPR if you're looking for a simple class or DRG if you're looking for something a little more engaging.
