Response to Congestion (as of Dec. 15)

It's probably terrible of me, but I'm kind of hoping we get almost a full month free out of this. :p But I will live is that doesn't happen. I'd rather have the current state of the game improve above just about everything else. I'm glad to see that they are supposedly addressing the issue with more servers and such. They...kinda had to, honestly. It was basically rinsing money down the drain if they stuck to their current course. I had a bit of a hunch that their search for the right equipment was being put into overdrive. It's nice seeing that confirmed.

Really hope they're planning for more EU servers than NA. I'm sure we both need them, but even as an NA player I can recognize EU is having a bad time. Especially since I'd wager OCE would manage to siphon more players out of NA than EU.

Surpsingly I’ve noticed more players in EU than NA will be going to OCE. Seems ping from OCE-> EU is better than OCE->NA. Though that’s entirely anecdotal, make of that what you will.

Phew. If there’s one good thing to come out of the forum dumpster-firing itself, it’s that they were loud enough to give everyone free playtime.

What's really wild with the suspending sales/advertising is... they may very likely have no solid idea how long they'll have to be suspended. Maybe they're hoping, like the rest of us, that things calm down quickly enough that they can resume sales by the end of the year or something. But, they could seriously be looking at waiting until they've got new hardware...

That is grim. I mean, I know they won't necessarily be suffering for it. But, that's definitely an admission of defeat, that they can't keep up.

I’ve been saying it for a while: SE wouldn’t just shoot themselves in the foot for some short term profits leading to long term losses (Theyre not Gamigo!). This is likely extremely unprecedented and short term losses are probably in the future for them.

He is, and me too actually. 90% of it for me is the stubble, while 10% of it is the existence of eyebrows. I had to paint those onto my Highlander, which always felt weird. Also sucked because I couldn't use any other face paint.

to be fair, I, and i do believe the same goes for a lot of people, would be a lot more open to "hey square, could you take a look at this ? some part of the hivemind found THIS problem and thinks you may have overlooked it" instead of "fuck you square, someone at reddit found out that you are cheating lying bastards that blame the players for your own shortcomings !!!!" which is basically how the thread mentioning the aforementioned problem started, continued on and ended.
