The only accomplishment here is the fact you didn't die from boredom doing 1-2-3 constantly for 80 levels. Otherwise, making yourself a hinderance for other people just for your own self-centred purposes is not something to be proud of.

Yes you can play as a gladiator to 80 if you want. However forcing strangers to group with you and either deal with you purposefully gimping the group or kicking you and then being forced to wait for a tank in dungeon that isn't going to forcibly gimp the group is you trolling your groups.
If you wanted your journey to 80 as a Gladiator to be a proper "challenge" you should have grouped with like minded individuals that also didn't equip their job stones. Instead you chose to group with those that did equip their job stones and thus invalidated the challenge.
Delete and try again or it doesn't count my friend.
Great, you selfishly exposed people who didn't agree to your self imposed challenge. You are what's wrong with the toxic casual fanbase.
If you had wanted that challenge, do it on your own time but don't force it on people who didn't agree to it.
A challenge is ascending the floors of POTD solo while playing as an astrologian… a challenge is doing the hardest trials in the game.
What you did is a self proclaimed challenge that must have affected others during duty roulettes. You had nothing to gain or show off for succeeding this.. so I’m just left wondering what was the point?
I’m all for pushing the limits but this just came across as inconsiderate for the people who were paired with you during your levelling grind.
I mean, kudos, I guess? I'm not really sure where the actual challenge here was though other than on your time and patience. If you really wanted to do this, you could have easily done it by yourself with PotD, Squadrons, Trusts, FATEs, etc. There are enough solo oriented activities in the game that it's honestly fairly easy to get to level cap doing content that isn't a challenge at all. And doing so wouldn't have forced others to unwittingly play along with you. The FF14 community is well known as being largely a good, helpful one (and for good reason) but this was just selfishly taking advantage of them.
To this point, I really did not enjoy White Mage at all so to level it to 80 I did almost no actual healing and almost nothing in a group. I basically just shunted bonus daily/weekly XP towards it where I could and otherwise relied on FATEs, Beast Tribes and the occasional Squadron run when I was in the right level range. It took a while, which was fine because I didn't enjoy the class anyway, but it was in no way a challenge and didn't actually impose my dislike of WHM on anyone else.
I could understand a challenge like this in other game, notabily solo one.
But in XIV, what you essentially do is purposefully limiting yourself to make things more boring, longer but not necessarily harder because it is possible. The game overall is easy if you know how to open your eye and push buttons.
This really isn't the good game for such a "challenge" like this. Besides, you're putting complexity on your healer shoulder as well. Not that it's insanely hard to do, but you'll take more damage he could have done damage instead.
You're making the whole process longer for everyone and... not everyone has or want to spend 45min per dungeon when it comes to cap tomestone and such.
Now, if you want to go in dungeon or raids with friends without soulstone, yeah go, that's on you.
It is possible to do it without "grieving" other people. Do MSQ up until Haukke Manor but don't unlock Haukke Manor. Do leveling roulette everyday, mix in PotD, spam level 1-10 until you reach level 60. Solo MSQ until you unlock Castrum and Praetorium (easy with level 255 gears). Just do MSQ roulette everyday. (you can't do leveling roulette anymore because you can get Brayflox and Stone Vigil). They're easy enough to not be considered grieving. Do your challenge logs every week. MSQ roulette counts in dungeons and duty roulette challenge.
Seems weird to take on a challenge that makes the game easier for you and only inconveniences others.
i mean if he knew what he was doing wouldn't really putting any stress on healers or w/e
GLD still gets sentinal, all the role skills
only defensive tool hes missing is hallowed ground and sheltron,
and 95% of PLD players let hallowed ground collect dust in dungeons anyway and sheltron isn't anything to write home about.
like i said if he knew what he was doing it just make the run a little slower not harder for others you dont lose stats without a job stone.
