Wind, Lightning, and Fire are Astral.
Water, Earth, and Ice are Umbral.

We're supposed to get more instant-cast and general use debuff spells on mages sometime around 2.0 when we get PvP so I'm expecting stuff that Yoshi-P mentioned like Bind/Charm etc. Reraise would make non-PVP fights too easy, especially if we could cast it on others, and I don't think its a good idea to give one ability to PVP that you won't get outside of it or vice versa.
@Brannigan: I'm kinda hoping that CNJ splits off to a nuking class similar to Elementalist from the Tactics Advance games, nukes coupled with utility debuffs. It would also be nice if we could reverse-combo Aerora > Aero for example to make Aero and its DoT effect or Stone's Magic Evasion down AoE.
I'd rather have a stacking set of DoT spells.
A shaman makes more sense to have tornado than white mage itself. It's description says it's also known as Shaman. What we are talking about Conjurer/White mage, not shamans.
Also I hated FFXI, I could careless for a XI-2. I want variety with one job I like playing as not always resorting to lightning, and sometimes fire.
