I am not required to be respectful or realistic, and I do think that if there was a way to demonstrate a current level of ability and proficiency and exercise an amount of effort equal to that required to win world war 1 that I should have said medal, in this metaphor. After all it should be relatively trivial to unsync with our current stats

my apologies, you are right of course. perhaps you could also add stomping around, slamming doors and holding your breath to your activities until they cave and give it to you?

Besides what has already been stated by others about the point of Legacy achievments being exclusive as a thank you for 1.0 players who stuck with the original game right when SE needed the support (like the Legacy Campaign as well), another reason why you will not see the likes of Legacy achievements like Cartographer coming back is because the content that rewarded them does not exist anymore.

Some have been replaced by equivelant ARR rewards (or near enough), but a significant portion are connected to old defunct 1.0 content like Behests and the Seventh Umbral Era events that are gone forever and do not exist in ARR, or factional levequest achievements connected to the old 1.0 areas (many of the aetheryte camps that these achievements were connected to do not exist anymore in ARR and even factional levequests for the factions like Azeyma's Shields were removed too).

Ironically the achievement for defeating Nael van Darnus's hard mode fight in 1.0 sums it up best: attaining 1.0's achievements and completing it's content really was Once in a Lifetime! And it is clear it is never coming back.

Let legacy stay legacy.

I say that as someone who didn't join until 2.x.

Well it would entirely depend on the goal of that conversation, as you might imagine. I've merely stated my opinion and viewpoint on the 1.x exclusive achievements and titles and on 'legacy' status as a whole, and defended that opinion and viewpoint while accepting that it is not a popular outlook, nor is it shared by the developers.

I do not realistically expect anything meaningful related to this to change, nor do I respect being told that it is an objectively wrong viewpoint to have, but I have offered that opinion. If people engage with that opinion, I'm very happy to offer my thoughts about them

When people say the devs don't listen I'm like..... there is no way that's true. .. . I've had and seen too many things very similar to what people were wanting then actually exist. Back then, of course, but even now too. I remember something as silly and small as an area should have a wet water effect as it looked a bit un-natural. Clearly minor issue, was changed before alpha was over O.o lol.

The tattoo, over the titles, is more of the symbol to me for legacy, but I suppose some may see the titles that way. Personally, as a general statement, I don't like things to be permanently locked away, yet I also recall that they said some elements from 1.0 were one time things as thanks for sticking with it (which was my surprise when the white ravens came back, not mad since out of my own personal thought sharing is good, but it did surprise me).

Personally, therefore, if I had not given the impression it was meant to be exclusive, would probably have then at some point opened more of the past for opportunities, but given, at least if I'm not making memories up, does seem like at least some of that was meant to be vaulted for good. I encourage them not to do that in the future, but also to do whatever they said they'll do.

Well well well...

If you people want the legacy items, legacy chocobo, legacy achievements etc... Maybe stop attacking everyone who still wishes there was an official way to replay 1.X content.

Make a time machine and go back and support the game when it was in a poor condition. That'll get you the titles and achievements.

actually yes . i mentioned somewhere long before . but as PS3 player, since the game was annouced it would be released on PC and PS3 , console players didnt have a chance. so yes. bring it back.
