Dozens of black mages teleporting to the same exact spot 5 yalms directly above an npc/company chest, or half-way into the ground below it, within the space of about 5 seconds.
A typical gil farming bot does not resort to conventional movement and just teleports from place to place by hacking. They also have gibberish keyboard mash names most of the time.
The standard bots that don't hack are still rather noticeable from their "point A to point B" style of movement that has them zig-zagging all over the place instead of making gradual turns like a normal player would. In flight-enabled zones, you'll also never see them take flight out of a run and will always just mount up, pause a moment, then jump in place before they suddenly veer off in the direction of their next destination. They stand out like a sore thumb in the presence of actual players, such as in the Diadem.
Ohhhh. I thought it was like lag on my part or something when I see those XD.
Why did that topic about the marketboard bots get purged, I wonder.
It's almost like they want us to pretend this isn't an issue or something.
I'd suggest against it strictly because some players are actively monitoring their bots while they're running and pestering them like that gives them an easy excuse to report you.
One of the most popular scripts is programmed to just toggle DND mode if someone trades with them, so you can't actually interfere with them anyways.
SE does not actually delete banned accounts as far as I can tell.
This has the unfortunate side effect of making it so the RMT spam bots that are using generated names as opposed to random keyboard mash are still hogging several names that could've belonged to actual players.
