Change The Rules For Leaving Dungeons (aka Why People Insta-Quit Castrum Meridianum)

if castrum gave the same exp as prae people wouldn't leave either (at least for exp reasons)

if you value exp more, you dont leave either cuz you get the same exp.

if you value time more, leaving prae , taking a penalty and then queueing again for a chance for castrum would make you waste more time than just doing prae.

Personally, i think the 5 minutes rule is fine, but they should give a full hour, or two, of penalty. I mean, no one is forced to run the Main Scenario Roulette in the first place, and we all know what dungeons we may get when doing it.

I also don't understand that "if people don't want to do x dungeon..." argument. This is a roulette, and you know full well what you're getting into when using it

Same reason for why the "just make every duty harder and force people to get better at the game" argument fails. If people don't want to get better and are forced to do so, they'll just quit. If people are forced to do dungeons they don't want to, or the penalty for leaving becomes harder, they'll just stop running X roulette for good, or quit for the day. Both would have consequences for queue times, so any "punish them for daring to leave, they should be our slaves" are just shooting themselves on the foot.

That's a kinda fun argument. If you know roulettes will put you in any Duty you've already unlocked, then you aren't being forced to do anything. Again, you know full well what you were getting into when choosing them. Instead of being an ass and leave, just do your part and finish the run. then, next time, select the dungeons YOU want to play.

About the "If people don't want to get better", at least in this case, the community can deal with it by itself, like kicking people out of the Duty when the person don't want to listen proper advices (no insults). There's nothing wrong with being bad at the begining, but it IS wrong when you just want to be carried by the other team members and/or you don't give a s**t about learning your skills or the common mechanics of most Duties

Simple easy fix: Increase the XP reward for Castrum to maybe 75% or 80% of what Praetorium offers. Currently it's only about half.

I think people should incur penalties for cherry picking instances out of duty roulettes. It defeats the whole purpose.
Don't wanna do something a duty roulette has in it (and MSQ is 50/50 chance), DONT RUN IT. The bonus is there to encourage people to run the stuff, not so you can play min/max XP/hr.

One will always be better than the other, so no matter how you rebalance them there will be the one people want to get and the one people quit out of.

The only way to sort of solve this would be to lock you into whichever one you end up rolling for the day. Meaning if you roll Castrum and disconnect you're still locked into Castrum, so no matter how many times you requeue you'll always get Castrum until your daily is finished.

Y'all are hilarious. There is already a penalty for leaving a duty. If people are fine with that penalty, they'll take it. If they aren't, they won't. No one, for ANY reason, has a right to DEMAND people run something if they just don't like it. This is not a 'job' it is a "GAME" and if something is not 'FUN' for people, they don't 'HAVE' to do it. Just because it might inconvenience you doesn't mean someone else is required to do it. Ever.

Sorry, but "it's a game, so I can inconvenience other people and waste their time as much as I want," isn't how this works. If the current punishment isn't proving enough of a deterrent to prevent people from griefing others in Castrum then more punishments will be tacked on.

I haven't been noticing people leaving, though, so I'm not sure if there is enough of a problem to warrant more punishment.
