Imperial Stronghold= New Area?

It more becomes a problem of the wolves, of course, there is always a cluster of 4-5 level 50-53 wolves hanging out, my experience everytime is that I end up walking through the group of wolves cause there are a lot of trees nearby. I'm sure a blm or class with tons of HP could make it through without a sweat, but my poor ole whm barely made it everytime.

If its the 50 wolves.. here is a secret... hope on a 38+ gathering class and stealth it!!!!

A workaround yes, but imo the trees shouldn't link with anything.

On topic: I too am curious where the imperial stronghold will be, but have a feeling it will end up in Mor Dhona as well. Since there are very few things that utilize that zone, and its a really cool place, putting the stronghold there wouldn't be a bad idea. I would be all for getting a closer look at that airship in the middle of the zone :D.

And yea... my guess (Which, as always, could be way wrong) would be the southwest... near the little crystal cave where Cid talks to the Legatus dude...

Oh, it was my understanding they still linked with the wolves and whatever else aggros down there (except spriggans, I knew that was changed). If they don't link with anything anymore, good, it needed to be changed.

For the record, the Ceruleum Fields in northern Thanalan are friendly territory. Those are Garlond Ironworks workshops, they are not Imperial controlled.

Mor Dhona is the most logical location.
