Then you got carried by people who knew what they were doing or you are grossly understating how much time your FC spent on clearing them. To compare synced Coil to NM 8-mans is so delusional I don't even have words to describe it. There is no comparison, period. And this is coming from someone who cleared all of coil back in the day before 3.0 dropped, so I know what it was, and still is like synced. Putting it in a roulette designed for casual pick-up-and-clear content (which is what NM is) will never happen.Quote:

I am a fairly new player and I am just trying to get through ARR. I know that i am pretty much making a selfish argument because I want to get through the content. Roulettes were designed for players like me to get through the content by offering incentive to older players so they will help out. Why is this any different?
I want to do the Coils. I did the first one and I didn't even see the fights because by the time the cutscenes were over they defeated everything. I am sorry that i want to enjoy content that is old. It is new to me. -

I don’t think you understand the significant jump in difficulty Savage content has compared to other content like dungeons, trials, and even 24-man raids. They aren’t things you can easily clear in a pull or two with a bunch of random players of random skill levels.
You don’t need to do Coil to progress with the MSQ. No raid is required to progress, including Alexander, Omegascape, and the new Eden raids; they’re all optional content. Using this as an argument doesn’t really work here because not completing the Coils isn’t actively hindering you in any way.Quote:

You can easily set up a PF and tell others that you want to watch cutscenes. I’ve been in PFs before that wait. You can also join a Free Company and as some FC mates to take you through and allow you to get the cutscenes in. I can tell you right now that putting these in roulettes will not make players wait for you to get out of the cutscenes—they’ll just barrel on ahead as they always do. See threads about what Main Scenario was like before they made the cutscenes unskippable if you don’t believe me.Quote:
