Two major assumptions are made in the whole ‘PC vs Console’ debate :
One is that the potential of PCs is always realized. That because a PC can be upgraded, it always is upgraded. That may be true in some cases, but it is not true in all cases.
The other is that the maximum hardware specs available determine the game’s potential. It is the minimum specs, not the maximum specs, that ‘hold the game back’. When the game was on PS3, the PS3 had lower specs than most PC’s. Thus, it could truthfully be said, and SE even said it (citing PS3 limitations), that the PS3 was holding the game back. Now? Is the PS4 holding the game back? Are the minimum specs higher than what a PS4 can manage? Or are the PC’s holding the game back, with their older legacy components?
Its nice to see a few in this thread that are not making the same baseless assumptions. I just wish it was more the norm than the exception.
