Can any team comp clear?

it wouldn't matter what the last job is that's a fail on the dps scale. you'll miss by atleast 6k at 100% for the whole party.

That would be tough since most statics run double melee as a default, and your criteria locks out all but one melee.

It was asked if any comp could clear. I dont see a 2 melee criteria here?

Considering it's only week 3? it would still fail currently. Your 3 low dps would have to be close to max BiS to make the check.

If they only geared those 3 and everyone else just tombed yeah they could I guess.

The early weeks, especially week one, are the most important. I don't know if it was implied or not but I'm sure anybody talking about this issue knows its only the first few weeks that matter. Otherwise the question is moot because the answer to the question is yes, eventually. Why should only certain compositions be able to defeat savage content at ~i450. I've not looked personally but I think it was mathematically impossible, assuming flawless rotations and best possible gearing, for certain DPS compositions to defeat Titan on week one. In the weeks after week one, the answer becomes it depends. Did the less than ideal composition manage to clear E2S and perhaps E3S, and if so did they prioritize DPS for weapon upgrades? Eventually, the entire DPS argument becomes moot because everybody has enough gear to beat all the enrage mechanics and the ideal compositions used in early weeks are now reserved for speed kill competitions. Most speed kills consist of MNK/BLM/DRG/BRD and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. The same composition was mathematically more likely, assuming equal player skill, to defeat Eden savage on week one, than a less than ideal composition.

I actually did a titania clear with Nin dnc dnc Sam before eden normal gear and crafted and it was really clutch every time we cleared. i imagine it would be like that with nin dnc rdm smn.

Job strength aside, the raw statistical chance of that group forming is rather slim. That's a 2/105 chance if the party just randomly formed, out of all the 210 possible combinations of 4 unique dps in a party. 1.9%.

So why do people battle so much against utility classes getting buffed to compete with the DPS of classes that doesnt? :D
