I wouldn't hold your breath on that. Most of the time GM's don't actually reply to most forum posts.

And even if they gave an official statement, it won't change anything. Players will continue doing what they want. Those who oppose the masses will get booted anyways.

Also stop disregarding other people's post because its not a "GM post".

I can understand you are mad about getting kicked from NN, but maybe cutback on the salt a bit.

I'm not disregarding others posts its just not what i came here to ask for. Our opinions matter but if we get the guidelines we know what to follow instead of having a bunch of "ffxiv buddies" have monopoly over the nn.

I wish it was okay for me to purge all of the mentors who are obviously botting from NN.

Even if you can't physically observe them, you can still tell from the fact that they never get auto-kicked for inactivity and stay in there for days on end (And without logging off in an instance, since that's known to prevent auto-kicks from occurring).

I always feel tempted, but knowing how inept both GMs and STF are at identifying bots it would be way too easy for them to report me for "harassment" as retaliation.

What are you expecting is going to happen?

Lets pretend you get a reply from a GM, then what?

You screenshot and post it in NN then what? Nothing will change. Sure you can call me pessimistic but i am just being realistic. I know how players are and how they will react.

Ultimately i don't think it would change much, even if they gave an official statement regarding mentors.

I was wondering when someone from Hyperion was going to post something about this. Hyperion's NN has pretty much become a meme on other servers due to the whole hunts topic. This honestly sounds like a power/control thing with Mentors on that server. I can only speculate though since I'm from Leviathan, but from everything I've heard It just makes me want to avoid the entire server at all costs.

Never said anything regarding it being helpful or otherwise. I just said it was mostly a global chat, how people use it is dependent on the person. People still ask questions and get answers, or people use it to shitpost.

What people are saying is that the NN is governed by the players—particularly the mentors that are supposed to be mentoring in it. So the GMs will probably tell you something similar should they answer this thread, but they generally don’t answer question threads on here.

i don't really think getting GM input to deep in NN is a good thing, might disencourage player to talk more in NN, i actually enjoy all of the off topic chat of our server NN, as long as it don't have anything that agaisnt the game general ToS or harasement other players, most of time i enjoy chatting about game and anime, and if there is any topic that i don't like to talk about, like other day there was a player talk about platform war, i just leave NN until they finish and come back later

if someone really piss you off or attack you personal, just report him for harasement, i bet GM will contact you very soon
