Give all learnable items (rolls, TT cards, minions, hairstyles, master books, etc) a learned/unlearned indicator on the tooltip. If a minion drops, "do I already have this" is a WAY more useful piece of information that "is there one in my inventory."
Mandatory basic training for all roles before you can use the DF. Can't tell ya how many people I see at higher levels that have 0 idea what they're doing the whole run.

So you can get a feel for the land, and see the sights they have to offer. Just immediately bypassing all that, then why bother making terrain at all?
All the lists that had been posted contain some good suggestions, but also some questionable ones. I'm not sure why people want things that are not actually all great or useful, some even straight downgrades from what we have now.
There's a reason why it feels like SE is deaf to suggestions.
Lower the RNG for winning Triple Triad cards if the player has consecutive wins under their belt against the NPC. I'm not talking a monumental difference either, maybe only up to a 5% better chance. Just something so that I don't feel as if I wasted an entire night trying to get a card only for the NPC to stubbornly refuse to drop it. Unlocking a new card should feel like an accomplishment, not an endless grind with no reprieve from RNGesus' merciless embrace.
To be fair, we have a saddlebag now, which can only be accessed in the overworld. That's the same overworld you fish in.
We essentially got a tacklebox, that can store other items if we so chose to.
