I agree it's not a solo job. Not only are most of your spells flavour text/useless (i.e. lots and lots of stuns), but you can't get your skills from dungeons or trials without help. It's just not possible.

Here a pre-View of what 5.1 Brings to Blue Mages Level 5 Death - Level 5 Death inflicts Instant Death on all enemies whose levels are a multiple of 5. In some games, it may work on bosses that are normally immune to normal death magic. Enjoy Blue Mages are Lock out of everything else. So lets Hear A Cheer (Level 5 Death, Level 5 Death,Level 5 Death) sorry trying to make you all Happy since Blue Mages is Working as Intended. Just Remember to Let out a Happy Cheer of Level 5 Death. that is all.
Bluemage was a failure "the blue mage job will provide a unique solo gameplay experience" yea right.. a lot of the higher spells cannot be learned from your "solo gameplay experience" and what to do on max level(50) for the Bluemage? erm.. kill things that you can already kill when you fart on your 60 or 70.*rolleyes*
Im sorry SE, you wont be getting more sub from me, cause the solo gameplay experience you thought you could deliver... failed Hard.
I had so many high hopes for playing a Bluemage :(
I refuse to play BLU in this game. This is the most ridiculous job implementation that I saw in this game. They lost development time to make BLU exclusive content when they could be making more dungeons, more hildbrand quests or even more raids/trials.
Literally zero blue magic spells require twinking from higher level players. Every single spell can be gotten by a group of Blue Mages. Every. Single. One.
Sorry, I have to disagree, having actually done some Blue challenge in my time. Dungeons with BLU are a -joke- and you're definately not correct about the lack of damage; they're not casting for as hard as RDM at level 50 but what does? They're actually very favorable in damage and every one brings magical trick attack so...Quote:
They also claimed that this job will be OP because of the spells they can learn. It's FAR from being OP. Most of the skills are useless and their damage is laughable. It could have easily been implemented correctly as a full job.
Exactly. It’s not a solo job because it requires support from other players. Thanks for proving the point.Quote:

I’ve helped my BLU friend get her spells because half of them require a dungeon or a trial and aside from the first week when hype was high, there are few spell hunt parties. From what I recall, some class quests depend on them. If you don’t have someone to help, it is not possible to do BLU.
So you're complaining they used that term? Okay. What does that have to do with the job?
*moves the goalposts back*Quote:

That's not your original claim. You claimed:
Which is untrue. Name one spell in the list that requires higher levelled players.Quote:
you cannot get majority of the skills without some assistance from higher leveled players?
No spell requires higher level players. It's simply more effective to run with 70's when farming for the Tier 5 spells such as Ramuh and Shiva. Shiva only being accessible through Extreme difficulty.
So instead of having a 20-40 minute ordeal for 2% drop rate on killing boss with BLU still alive you can turn it into a 5 minute run.
