That's layer 7.

This is what I did as well because it reminded me of Dun Scaith's first boss, which has a similar attack. The whole thing took me 3 tries, the first time failing the timing, the second surviving but noct dead because I failed to take into account of AI not wanting to get out of telegraphs. But 3rd time? No problems.
I guess I just got lucky. When Garuda did the thing I tried targeting different pillars but I kept getting pulled back. During the actual attack I guess I did the warp blade thing timed right and survived but with only a small amount of health left. Eos took care of the damage and I went on my merry little way.
I smell the aroma of "Will of the Moon" in here.
Everything works fine its just a Layer 8 issue, again.
Yes, I do mean the suck in part, where you have to teleport to one of the Monoliths. It seems to be seriously bugged.
A question: for those of you who were either lucky or good at it and passed ... What job did you use?
The way XIV resolves movement skills and AoEs makes it kind of inconsistent. I think I died to it the first 3 times, then the fourth I got a little better with the timing and survived with a couple thousand HP, which Second Wind and Bloodbath took care of. I never had any issues with Noctis getting low.
I admittedly want more duties with Warp Strike, just because the movement was fun. Garuda Nocturne EX for a Kingsglaive outfit would make me pretty happy.
noctis spam his sword when this part begins - thats supposed to show you that you need to do the same, how this could be bugged?
