Whats crazy is that PDF came out in what, October? Wonder what kind of progress they have produced since then.
the landscapes looks great, plus more dynamic content, that is what i want. it sounds 100x better than climbing a mountain.
"Seamless zones are being eliminated in Version 2.0."
FF XIV isn't seamless now, there are still loading screens separating each zone so 2.0 really isn't going to be all that different, expect loading will likely happen more often. I don't have a problem with it myself.
Think the problem isnt the loading in between areas but the areas changing themselfs. Like Between Thananla & The Black Shroud isnt seamless cus it jumps from Desert to forest right away. All Areas in 2.0 gonna be like that cus they need to change the areas up.
If they made it truely seamless they would need to make the in between change over with the floor textures and trees and nature. If you ever played Skyrim they do a good job of this.

Okay, that first one is totally windurst.
Yeah, I'd like to be able to climb the mountain to Garuda as well. I like to see the world change as I traverse it; everything feels much more real that way.
I'm OK with zones as long as it means we'll get interesting and diverse environments. But I hope that we don't jump too far when crossing a zone line. When I'm walking I want to SEE the world, not warp across it. That's what teleporting is for.
