[Suggestion] Make "remove from friends list" 2-way

Honestly why I'm on this character as of now. The other character has only been touched a handful of times since then, mostly to help move money around or warm an FC for a friend, and thankfully I had no record of posting on this forum when all that happened either. As far as I can tell from the silence, it seems to have worked.

Without going into extremely painful territory, they were aware and asked to stop before they were blocked. I do not block former friends without reason, and definitely do not freak out over being contacted by them a second time months later when they should have moved on almost immediately after being unblocked. When I say creeped out, I mean to the levels of things that are not forum safe being discussed as well. I understand where you are coming from but I can only wish it was that cut and dry. Now that so much time has passed I can only use it as an example going forward, because it was my mistake to unblock them and expect nothing to happen, and pray that it doesn't happen again.

Most drama comes from Cactuar? And then you cited my thread, which was created in a manner in which I said the wrong things. News flash: for the longest time, I was on Siren. It has nothing to do with a particular server – you just tend to come off on the forums as a particularly unlikable individual.

It certainly wouldn't be fair if folks started saying that Excalibur produced the biggest snowflakes in existence, now would it? Not that I'm calling you the biggest snowflake around, I mean, that would just be disrespectful, yes? So quit saying flat out ignorant statements that have nothing to do with a server. And harassment? Kisai, nobody cares enough to even think about harassing you – you get called out for the flat out ignorance that litters 90% of your posts. Unless of course, being challenged repeatedly for incorrect statements is your definition of harassment. In which case, I have to ask: if you truly felt harassed, why do you keep throwing yourself head-first into traffic to invite it? Curious.

I dont even know you but i think you maybe want to check your tone here. The arrogance and superiority this text transmit can be kinda offensive.
You are calling her ignorant like its a flagrant sin. If a person is ignorant, then take the time to educate them, and if you dont want then dont complain. I think that you wanted to call her is stupid or obnoxious.
And talking about bias like every person here havent bias about some subject. A very ugly thing. Well, i advice you to check yours before talking about others. Anyway what you are doing with this attitude is making her bias worse and maybe make people question if she is really wrong about it.

With the topic. This is something that should have been implemented long time ago. I never suffered harrasment but like some people said here it can be kinda scary. I dont know if the devs read general discussion but this would be a good sugerence to implement.

To be fair people do try to educate her, as you can see in her post history, that's the exact reason why she's trying to start drama badmouthing people who aren't even present in this thread and have nothing to do with this thread.

On topic: In case the current code doesn't allow deletions triggered server side, a good alternative would be to check if characters have each other added before allowing people to send a mog mail, so far it seems like the main issue is mog mail.

I'm not the one starting drama. I'm not the one who created no less than 16 threads to start drama with raiders since March starting with "The general player base needs to improve", they either revel in starting drama, or they fell on their sword and decided deleting their character was the the only way to get out of whatever disaster they started.

So you would completely understand when it seemed like the OP of this thread was talking about that person when they created this thread three minutes before the other person did.

Not fully true.
If you remove a person from your friend list they can no longer port to your house or FC house.

They can STILL send you PM and mail, put them on blacklist and they can no longer send mail. They can still PM but you won't see the messages.
When you try to send a mail to somebody that has put you on blacklist you get the 'unable to send, attached gil and items recovered'. > I tested this with a friend once about 8 months ago so unless they changed it since then.


You can do far more with Lodestone which is public, There's no doubt some 'stalker' sites that scan and keep record of lodestone ID's and keep track if somebody changes privacy settings, scans the friends they have, etc etc.


Also, I'm pretty sure the #serverlimitations would apply here too.


Anyway you shouldn't worry to much about your ingame stuff, worry about lodestone, there's real stalkers out there and changing your name or transferring won't do anything Lodestone ID is unique, the only way to escape this is to delete your character and create a new one.

I absolutely hate this fact too. I recently had Problems with stalking due to blocked people still be able to see where i am and following me around. I asked the support for assistance or if they could remove me from theyr Friendlist but i didnt get any help.

If I could give the OP 1,000 likes I would. It drives me up the wall when I delete someone off my friend list that I'm still on theirs.

I only unfriend people I no longer care enough about to keep in contact with... I've only blacklisted a couple of highly toxic people (a whopping total of 2 non-bots)...I guess I'm lucky I'm not regarded as harassment worthy... but I agree if you unfriend someone it should remove both parties from the friend list... and blacklists should block all contact from them...
