Why are you still playing this game?

I still play because I have fun doing various things from leveling jobs/classes, collecting minions/mounts/tt cards/barding/glamours, Eureka, getting my perfect squadron, finishing old raids I never got around to, watching cutscenes, doing every quest I find, and all while playing with my friends.

Some days I'm super busy grinding something out, other days I just hang out at my house and talk to my LS for hours on end, seems there is always something to hold my interest even after playing since ARR beta.

Right.

I like ffxiv i will give it time, its growing but slowly maybe one day they will have branch off's to do other stuff but they need to give it a grind this way people can't fly through it and come on here and say whats next.

Of course but some people just don't do that stuff or have already done it they are fast to blow through content.

I think people like story driven content.

like the detective stuff but its super short each patch but people love it.

Now if SE branched off a few story driven content battles and stuff it would keep people occupied for a while especially if they make it grindy.

Or the key item ??? spawns all over the place in FFXI that was good, people joined together to get key items for gear and items to sell but it took a long time to farm up those items to get a good pop boss.
if they did that in FFXIV that would be something good.

cause that could be something to do as a LS or FC or just with random people from Server.

Everything. I have a lot of fun with this game, especially with the creative parts of it (screenshot taking, fashion, decorating...). Eorzea simply makes me happy!

PS: The lack of endless and mindless grind plays a huge part on my enjoyment. I wouldn't be here otherwise.

idk if you played FFXI but if you did the relics were such a grind but once you obtained it, it was a great feeling like omg finally you felt so cool for a while till someone else finished theirs lol

Hmmm... why am I still playing? Because there's still a ton of stuff to do, but then again, I've only started playing for the last five months. <_<

My to-do list
1. Savage
- Beat Godka. Trying to pug this is difficult especially being this late in the tier. My only regret is wishing I had started raiding in general a lot sooner instead of a month late. I'm still not sure why I choose to wait instead. Do not wait! :/
- Try out alt jobs. The issue at the moment is gear. The limits makes it more difficult to gear alts for things like this.
- Join random duty completion parties because sometimes it can be fun xD
- I wanna see what it actually feels like to raid on release day instead of starting it a month late, see you next tier!

2. Housing Savage
- I've just bought a small house in The Goblet. It's going be a house that's worthy of HousingSnaps. I just need 13 Imitation Windows, 7 Oriental Bathtubs, 7 Planter Partitions, 5 Potted Oliphaunt's Ears, 5 Potted Dragon Trees, 3 Bamboo Flowerpots, 1 Large Planter Box, and just 1 Death's Fingers for a total of 4 mil ... : D ... I'm too poor for this.
- Move to Lavender Beds one day

3. Fifty Shades of Mount Farming
- PvP mounts, Bird mounts, Doggo mounts, Pony mounts, Savage mounts, that Ala Mhigo mount, that DRK mount ... what else am I missing?

4. Experience the Unending Glory of Bahabutt! (I wanna see how much it hurts)
5. Complete every single side quest on the map because quest markers gives me OCD.
5. Sightseeing log. Waiting for weather change is not fun though.

But if you've been here for a long time and have already done everything that you've wanted to-do, I can see why there can be nothing else to do. At that point, I guess we'd still play because our friends are still around or just for the story and things.

I enjoy playing this game.

Currently to keep ownership of my house...

Because it is still fun. Period.

For friends. For Savage. For Ultimate. For the memories I have attached to the game.

Been leveling up alts lately (one with my best friend, one alone, and another is going to be leveled with another friend’s alt whenever he renews his sub) for a change of scenery as opposed to my main.
