PC servers and PS3 Servers

I remember at launch I was making Copper Nugs and selling them for 2k a pop all day long by the Blacksmith NPC. There's certainly going to be big initial opportunity on the new servers.

As for mats, gear, etc, I don't think it will be a huge problem. People who really want to cash in will have craft jobs to 50 in a matter of days, and they won't have to deal with figuring out recipes or where mats drop from.

Days???? no... weeks maybe....
I see at least 3 weeks... more like a month before a new server would have a 50 crafter

all cuz we once again come around to a very important fact, new server = no high level mats until people go out and actualy farm them

the only people who can grind crafts in days are bots with infinite resources to buy ALL their mats and not have to farm one bit as is
itl take a few weeks to do it if you do it at a reasonable pace without botting, even longer if you farm your own mats

I know, right
Even botting... the server starts with zero mats and zero leves
It would take a week of non stop no sleep crafting if you had all mats and shards
But without any of that... It'll be interesting to see how the new servers progress...
Battle has been sped up a lot more drastically than crafting though
At launch the first crafters to 50 were like 5 or six weeks in...
the first battle classes were like 8 weeks in

Days, a few weeks, or a month, considering the rate of progress of most new characters (assuming PLing is fixed by then) I doubt it will be a huge problem. I'm sure RMT will be getting fresh with the new servers too as far as crafting/gathering/farming goes and that's where I expect the first 50s to come from, followed up by players running bots/autofire.

Just need to keep your fingers crossed that the game will have enough content and decent rare/ex gear by then to hold people over the amount of time it takes the server to get established, which won't be that long.

what you are stating in regards to plvl and such doesnt apply to a new server

there will be no 50s to plvl you
ther will be no high level gear right off the bat to use to get further quicker

everyone will be going at the crafters pace, until the high end weapons and armor are made, you will be gimped with your party leveling with whatever is available at the time, if you can even afford it cuz prices will start high

and because its also a crafters pace, until the crafters are able to even get what they need to level to make stuff, you wont see it


all this combined will massively slow things down

days will be imposible, weeks may even be really tough to pull off, itl take a month or 2 just like it did at launch

Maybe a month or two to get everything rolling along, but I think people are massively overreacting. It's not like these new servers are going to begin with a bunch of 50 melees wanting high end gear, and the Thaum/Con scene will make do without gear very easily until it is available (and as far as PLing goes, if it's not fixed Thaums will be doing it inside of a week easily).

And as far as high level mats go, people are going to Thaum up as fast as possible and dominate those for as much money as they can until the market inflates.

There were some questions in regards to future plans for “fresh start” Worlds, so we wanted to pass along some info on that. We’re planning to set up new servers for the release of 2.0 and launch of the PS3 version (of course, new players that are just starting out can still choose existing Worlds to start on).

When these Worlds are created, it will be possible to make new characters there. However, as a temporary measure, we’re planning to make it so characters from already existing Worlds won't be able to transfer there.

well that a good news for the "new" players appreciated but now how about some good news for "old" players hehe
