Which speaking from my own experiences, would have put me right off well back when I ran it myself. I don't like it when the pace of content is stopped short by unskippable cutscenes in any game and to be forced to sit through nearly two hours worth of hell, mashing my left mouse button, is approximately my idea of inconceivable torture.

Could you imagine being in a 8/8 party that has already done the msq and no bonus NOW? It isn't worth that risk to queue up for it now imho.

This is possibly the worst option they could have gone for.
Out of interest - has anyone ever timed the cut scenes? Do we know how long in total these instances are going to take now?

even worse, the reward is only 80 more tomes..... Unless you realy like the cutscene or are doing the dungeon to help a friend, I just can not see veteran players doing this roulette.

Well we still need to wait and see for us who already done the msq roulette if we are forced to watch CS or only till the new player ended watching it. If we dont need to rewatch it than PF all the way.

Though individual reading speeds do apply and these videos are only the cutscenes. Average time from a quick glance at youtube without cutscene skips from a fairly quick reader are one hour plus and thirty-forty minutes respectively. This is compared to the near fifteen it takes to complete either now with skips.

Ah - thanks.

The funny thing is I consider the 10 minutes of cut scenes in Castrum unreasonable. 30+ mins for Praetorium?! A world of no.

Castrum:

With the gear available back then it took almost 50 mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wukHyO-p8A

With current gear (i130 sync + direct hit stat) probably 30-35 mins assuming people are reading them, less if they are spam clicking.

Praetorium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8UvLTUP8BY the run ends at 1 hour 3 minutes, with current gear I'm gonna say 45 mins if reading everything.

Note these cutscenes don't auto advance so slow readers will take longer.

MrHappy actually got a rare cut scene watch group back when he was doing his Healer Happy let's play series. Subtracting the idle chatter at the beginning of his video, it took roughly 35 minutes for Castrum.
