It also sounds like everything that is out at the time goes into the housing storage so make sure you have room between there and your inventory/retainers loaded also if needed.

Enjoy it! I love decorating my house to fit a certain theme of the area - but 4 hours will pass and you'll never realize it :D

Are the new wards “designated for FC use” and not available to relocate personal houses when they open up?

Sounds like there will perhaps be some wards (or houses) that will be designated FC only where as the others will be available to transfers at first. Both FC purchases and transfer purchases appear to be available upon release. That's just my take on it from what I've read. Hard to say if size will be a factor is designating some as FC only or if they'll simply set some wards aside for FC's at the start.

Just for clarity on pricing... if I move my fc house to another plot of the same size (small to small) I just need the cost of the plot?

It sounds like all wards will have the same rules, not just the new ones. Only new purchases will be for FCs, but everyone will be able to relocate (personal or FC).

It's unclear if the FC purchase only rule is coming in with 4.2, or one week later when the houses will actually be available (personally I believe it'll be with 4.2)

Yes, it'll take off 30% of the minimum price of your current plot though (about 500k depending on the grade of your existing plot)

You need to buy the new plot (though they give you a discount of 30% of the lowest possible value of your original plot) and then move your entire house to the new plot, skin and all, so you do not need to buy a building permit.

Edit: its really crazy the next day (today) after I posted this i to found a empty plot on Balmung of all worlds. So check the aetheryte shards guys! I do plan on trying to relocate to Shirogane after getting the small I'm left with about 22mil just enough for a medium but if my luck doesn't plan out I'm perfectly happy with the small I did manage to somehow get

My guess is you won't be able to relocate into the NEW wards since they are supposed to be locked for FC only at the start (and some houses locked permanently for FC's) but you'd be able to find one in an older ward to move into.

Incorrect. It's been confirmed in the preliminary patch notes that private houses can be relocated.
