You know, the more I see these "Goodbye SE" threads, the less of an impact they have.

I think I might be developing an immunity.

I don't think they're supposed to make an impact. For a guy who spent a long time in the game and got all his classes to 50, I respect his goodbye thread. And hopefully he will back when the game is in a better shape.

Aside from DoH/DoL classes I really don't find getting 50 in any of the other classes all that impressive. DoM/DoW are some of the easiest to level up these days. That said though, in his case it's a bit impressive since he has multiple DoH/DoL ones in that mix. Anyhow, why can't people if they're leaving just post a simple "Goodbye" thread instead of making it out to be like a farewell letter to your boyfriend/girlfriend? You're not the first to leave and certainly won't be the last. Time to get past these things as if you're making a huge difference. Personally I think it'd have been better if there was a giant sticky thread where people can post their farewells instead of creating 20+ threads all saying how they're leaving as if we're going to weep in sorrow for their departure.

Not meaning to be an ass here, I just never understood the point of making long-winded threads about how you're leaving. But now that people are paying I myself know I'm going to expect a lot more from SE to prove themselves. They've got me hooked, got me willing to pay until 2.0 (And beyond)... Now let's see what they can really do!

Well one good thing about payments kicking in, hopefully most of these space wasting "I'm letting EVERYONE know i'm leaving because i'm that important!" threads will stop.
