I'm kind of curious how many of the current NIN players were DRGs before SB. I've certainly seen an increase lately.
I barely see any melee besides SAM (or the hardcore DRG base).
Most of the time it's ranged (no MCH though).
I still haven't decided what to level now that i have all 3 tanks finished. NIN was my DPS main in HW. But something feels off from what I've seen so far. I'll wait until next week when the first wave of job adjustments hit.
Funny, I used to be a DRG main, but really tempted to switch to NIN atm. DRG just feels less fluid while NIN seems have become more fluid somehow to me. It feels like it's skills work a lot faster and connect into each other better. Also it certainly is satisfying my desire for weaving a lot more than DRG does now. If there was some way for DRG to get to Life of the Dragon quicker, or if we could shoot more Geirskoguls, that would already eliviate a big part of the problem for me.
I recently switched from DRG to NIN. I stopped playing for most of 3.0, so I see FFLogs have become a thing. I felt like I'd adapted to the class pretty well, and it is extremely fun, but I found some logs from yesterday on Deltascape Story and I'm sort of disappointed in myself. Granted, I could be interpreting the charts wrong, and most of my gear is Verity (plan to work on Lak/Sus EX over the weekend), but it seems like I'm not doing well at all. =\ I have noticed that there are less threads on the forums about NIN than others...but does anyone with experience with FFLogs see anything that I'm doing terribly wrong? I'm seriously looking to improve.
Also, I'm pretty terrible on Catastophe, so I feel like I won't be so low there when I feel more comfortable with the fight.
That's the spirit. However consider that right now there's a huge gap in dps because of the diverse gear players are wearing. The difference in dps between a full verity nin and a fully melded crafted 320 nin is huge. Don't get discouraged and consider checking a guide to improve. I suggest momo's video guide on youtube.
Yeah, weapons also seem to be an enormous upgrade, as always. I might look more in-line with my expectations once I get a decent one in Susan weapon. There are also things to consider like Balance, Dragon Sight, etc...plus I've only done these fights Monday and yesterday, so its not like I'm an expert. I'll not be discouraged!! Thanks! I'll look for Momo's guide!
Been maining nin since arr msq, endgame. Good to be back. Love to be support dps yet deal some high damage.
