It's better than stoneskin. Cure 2 into Benison, which I don't think is even that far off mana effeciency wise than a Cure 1, is a lot of potency you can fit into a single GCD while also providing a higher shield than stoneskin if your co-healer happens to be on the floor or otherwise unavailable.

It does Stoneskin's job better because it saves you the MP and cast time required.

There is no "new" WHM. 4.0 WHM is 3.0 WHM with better MP management and a completely worthless 70 ability.

healing is your utility. People forget healing is impotent, and just let ppl die. I saw a tank @ 20% hp get nailed while the AST was dpsing. They were using their CD well from what I could tell. Just AST felt dps was more important then curing a tank.

I did the (spoiler final boss) fight and lost more often due to 2 healers not healing, or leaving dead dps outa spite.

And my g/f who used to hate having a whm in the party, now prefers a whm over any other healer. With the increased mp return of syphon strike and deliruim and blood price make blood price last 30 sec. So even if a whm does holy spam during bp, it doesn't hurt her ability to keep up mp.


the only people upset so far imo, are people who refuse to adjust to the changes.

Highest personal DPS. Which is actually a thing now that they have godlike MP management. A thing for good WHMs anyway.

I think that is the point of whm now. It's got the easiest time handling tasks in the overworld and then can heal in raids as well. Sort of like the Inverse of Rdm, which can dps, but also heal itself well enough to solo in the overworld.

Only thing about this for me is the odd Lily cost. Let the effect eat one Lily. Add a new spell called Holy Benison that does the same thing on a 1 minute recast, but requires two or more Lilies and eats all you have and can grant the effect on the whole party.


As for Lilies, easy fix. Let each lily effect ALL your spells in a simple buff.

1 Lily = 3% reduced recast timer on all non-damaging spells; 5% damage boost to all damaging spells
2 Lilies = 5% reduced recast timer on all non-damaging spells; 10% damage boost to all damaging spells
3 Lilies = 10% reduced recast timer on all non-damaging spells; 15% damage boost to all damaging spells


Those two changes would be fun. You have a reason to stack Lilies and in that oh shit moment to use them on the party.
