I just ask at the beginning what the group wants to do and go along with what the group decided on. Most of the time, its usually speed runs and picking up chest we happen to see along the way.Usually even if its decided to be a speed run, if someone ask to look for silver chest,most groups I've been with have no problems with it. Personally, if I want to run POTd mainly for silver chest, I just go with friends or FC members.

That, I believe, was fixed along the way at some point, maybe when the 50+ levels were released if I don't recall wrong. I remember reading about it back then, and my recent findings support it. I was running levels 1-20 solo and even if my aether pool was in 80/80 range, I got as good upgrade sticking rate as I would get on more "proper" levelset, only occasional failure. If that is correct, the current aether pool level is no reason to not gather the silver chests.

ToS violation, I find it amusing people try defend themselves when they are in clear violation. If you are sitting at portal, doing nothing while they get aggro, and esp if they ask for help, you ignore this, it is a ToS violation and a valid kick, me and my friend kicked people for this. (esp with her call macros). It is called not precipitating. not sure why you even asked that, when I did explain it already.

Your first post also suggests you are kick abusing at times, and you can be reported on that as well.

Need to ask, what have you done when people ran off with low aetherpool get aggro and ask for help? Do you still sit there? That is more in line what I am talking about. Some other posts I seen after yours, sitting on the portal is ok in those situations, it just crosses over to ToS violation when you are ignoring calls for help.

By the same logic, gatherers in Diadem not participating in battle content when asked to would violate the ToS. I doubt a GM would support either case.

You and SenorPatty are actually proving that point, lol. How often do you see PvP players post attacking people? I know a good PvP MCH around these parts that is nothing bot helpful. Btw, as said, if someone asks for help, and you sit there at portal, saying "i want to speed run" a GM does side with the complaint. It is not "play style differences" at that point.

all the speed runners I ran into violated both of these. GMs take the calls. It is not "playstyle differences" when you are ignoring help calls.

You dont have to help anyone in there. No is there so you and your friend can achieve your goal easier and faster. Of you're freaking allowed to ignore "calls for help"
You're not kicking for "ToS-Violation" but for "difference in playstyle" - just as much as someone who kicks someone who goes off by themself and making three other people wait kicks for "difference in playstyle"

I can only repeat that no on is in the right here - both sides are totally valid. No one has to help anyone - neither with getting chests nor with faster progress, but if the majority agrees on something thats the "meta" for that run.
May I suggest that anyone who refers to kicking people on a recent basis just stays away from DF and forms a party themself? What you're doing might not be a ToS-violation, but its a jerk-move to get into content, enforce your rules and remove anyone who doesnt obey them. If you're taking a friend with you to ensure that a kick goes through, it already smells a bit fishy to me - and in the case of PotD if you already have a second person to do this content with and you want to make sure your runs go a certain way may I suggest to dou it?
If thats to much of an inconvenience to you or you want to speed your runs up by adding more people in, you'll have to deal with them in a proper way - and not being willing to compromisse, demanding them to follow your "orders" (or cries for help, whatever term you prefer) makes you the jerk in this moment, no matter your goal.

Honestly by now I wished they'd put in two queue-options for PotD - one for silver chests and one for leveling (without silver chests at all). I'd be curious to see which sides cries first...
