Of Payments and Forums

When SE gets the payment options right some people will shut up, or will that get sorted in 2.0 ;)

Is it because payments are resuming and many players will be losing forum access that this is happening? And will the return of subscription payments mean a nicer, friendlier forum atmosphere for all who are staying? I can only hope so.

Am I the only person who thinks that the resumption (is that a word?) of the subscription service can only mean good things for the health of these forums?

I will be paying for the game, but I've been terse with people and had a general disregard for their opinions because that's the way I am as a person in general. I do the same thing in class, people say stupid things, irl, online, its not acceptable how anti-intellectual we've all become. I actually think a lot of the people who are terse and in some peoples opinions "flame others" are actually here to stay.

Last two weeks? I've been people acting like this since the forum came into existence, I don't really see it as a new thing that just happened over the last few weeks. People have always been rude, bickering and attacking others on these forums. I always remember the #1 reason in the '5 Scientific Reasons People Act Like A--holes on the Internet". -____-;

I would have thought everyone that played FFXI learned back then, SE and their support staff don't care about you. They deal with problems in backwards ways. And they don't care if you like the game or not, they want their money, and they will make money riding on the Final Fantasy name brand.

In XI all the bots were allowed to do w/e they wanted and not get in trouble, banned, or even warnings.
In XI RMTs were rampant, everyone knew who the RMTs were, SE did not care.
In XI if you report a botter, you get the typical automated response "we will investigate this matter further", and if you sent in the report multiple times you were the one that got suspended. LOL@SE

but sorry to say but once the pay to pay starts even when they are all gone, all that is left are people who will destroy what is left of this game. that is all i am gonna say bout that. we will see how the game turns out at 2.0. the majority never posted on these forums, most people play mmo's they don't talk about them. the same group of us are on these threads to the point where everyone knows who posts and what they are about. i wouldn't be surprised that the majority of them are workers of SE to begin with. once pay to play starts everyone that is paying aren't the ones that even at 2.0 will save the game, it's the players that left and hopefully they are done at this stage with listening to the forums for input.

what i think most of you need is like your own little world to go live in. enjoy the next year if that is what your enjoyment is, empty servers and people who come to forums to throw what they learned last week in college into there posts. i'm rooting for 2.0 but you might just get a mmo that dies out 6months after 2.0 launches if they listen to most of you. and lol if i come off as rude but obviously they won't lock this thread over the one that was made in the opposite reflect.

of course not. if you like the game you can troll.. if you don't like the game you get baned for trolling the trolls. eh who cares really game will die very soon after subs. the ones who think otherwise are pathetic people who can entertain them selfs alone. because that where they will find their self, alone with nothing to do after they complete the moogle fight as quick as the ifrit fight was completed.

This forum is actually one of the more civil forums I've ever seen. You guys don't even have any good trolls. The problem here is that every single thread turns into a myopic shitstorm. The guy who says he doesn't agree with something is immediately labeled a dissenter and a troll. The guy who defends the game is labeled a fanboy. Eventually it turns into a, "My opinion is right because it is" thread.

I hope people like that don't have a job that requires communication because they suck at it.
