I did this like, a year ago and have never switched it back. Setting this option to 0 means that you won't hear any sound effects from anyone that's not in your party. magitek cannons, holy spam, dragoons doing ring of thorns forever and emote spam (I think anyway, if emote spam still makes noise I honestly haven't noticed in several months, everything else i'm 100% sure on) doesn't matter. You'll still see it mind you, but it will be completely silent. Invaluable for entering the zen crafting zone.

I actually came on this thread just to read it for entertainment..but I'm actually glad I did now only cause I would of never found this...lol I listen to music while playing and sometimes get annoyed with other player effect noises.

i wonder whats gona be the next complain from OP.

Probably something like : oooh im totally disappointed that theres other people out in the world , i totally thought i would be the only here saving eorzea from evil. Please give me the option to remove all other people from the game so i can have the world for myself. I want to live in a boring solo world where no one makes any noise at all :P

Ehhh...

The mounts alright. Would I have preferred it if their time had been spent on developing other art assets? Yeah. Still, there are people who are genuinely, supremely happy with this mount, and I'm glad for them, so its not really such a waste of developing resources in the end.

Good job, SE. You developed content that doesn't interest me personally, but suits other players. At the end of the day, that's a victory.

(he is a she - and I have infact turned of signatures now to prevent getting massive headaches. But you basically got my point there, yes - OP likes their signature while I, sadly, can not stand it. In the end both OP and I got options to turn off whats bothering us - even though for me that means I cant see any signatures anymore to leave OP their fun...)

I really don't know why it bothers people so much. Frankly, most people seem much more concerned with dodging my goobbue's sneezes anytime its allergies act up.
