Yeah they could come up with more outfits for men to use as clothings than these less poor clowny stuffs.
Not seriously cool looking...

I'll be honest I don't care if there gender locked or not but make it like the crafted sets where they have various looks depending on the gender so same item for both genders but they look difrent depending on the gender but have the same overall feel
And as for the aymeric set the hair style shool have been made separate to the coat seeing as it's not gender locked it sucks you gotta pay 18$ for just a hairstyle if you play female
It does not surprise me at all to see more items for women than men as fashion is mirroring real life. Have you walked through a shopping mall? Count the items for women vs men, women tend to want and spend more on fashion then men.
I don't disagree, but it sucks even more that even if we pay the fee and toss the gear away, guys still can't use the Minfilia hair.
Except that this isn't real life, and female characters aren't exclusively played by women, and we're all paying the exact same subscription fee. So no.
As someone who very much wants a pair of Bard-useable over-the-forehead goggles to complete the look I'm going for, I was very annoyed that Cid's gearset is male only. I have no problem with gender-locked gear where it makes sense, but locking stuff that has no reason to be locked is just pointless.
Unfortunately the two are linked. They lock sets like the Thavnairian Bustier to female-only and then make the male set unisex. Then guys like me complain that we're being treated unfairly (because, well, we are) and they respond by locking items which make 'no sense' to compensate for the ones which did 'make sense' (to someone, somewhere). I feel your annoyance over the goggles. But people with female characters need to support the guys in unlocking more items if they want to avoid the same terrible treatment. We're all in this together.
