It'll probably be added at some point in 4.0, since it takes a while to create a gear set.

He also thought SAM was gonna be a tank. Dont get me wrong but it was probably just a prediction before the fact.

makes sense then. does feel like forever ago when the votes came in for that one.

Almost certain it was confirmed in either the reveal or a Live Letter that SAM will share MNKs gear sets. I think, ideally, we'll be seeing RDM start its own INT based set, with a new aesthetic. If we look at what we have now, all Stat types have been split into two different styles for their sets.

STR-
DRG wear heavier attire, typically lighter variations of Tank sets. And MNK wear heavy leather to layered cloth.

DEX-
NIN mostly share an aesthetic with MNKs,but also sometimes sharing a style with MCH/BRD. MCH/BRD have a diverse pool of light leather to light cloth, and even often caster styles.

INT-
Thus far we have BLM and SMN, traditional casters of sorts. While some sets from dungeons have been non-traditional and very light, it would be strange to see something "mobile" like RDM wearing thick, layered robes. So it's not far-fetched to think RDM will then start the alternative style for casters.

It was actually displayed on one of the sliders during the Vegas Fan Fest, as Yoshi was talking about new gear. (Think it was Vegas)

I'm expecting RDM to share gear with BLM/SMN.

I would be pleased if they got their own set, similar to DRG/NIN right now.

I would also be pleased if SE would stop making Healer/DPS-Caster sets the same with different color swaps. The primal tomestone gear was inexcusable. Shiva for healers and... Shiva for Casters? You passed up Ramuh? RAMUH, LITERALLY THE DPS MAGE PRIMAL?! WHY WOULD YOU NOT MAKE A DPS CASTER SET BASED ON RAMUH?!

Lazy same as titan for tank.

I'm for the team of RDM having its own set. Its the only thing that makes the most sense.

If the loot table bloat becomes an issue, then just add 1 extra piece of loot in every chest.

RDM needs its own set though. Cant have a red mage in a robe.

You don't know dev team? If RDM have seperate set, most of them will be pallete-swap of Dex, Healer, and Caster gear switching in each tier. You will rarely get unique model.

Many people said caster gear have a lot of robe that don't fit RDM but you should look at example people glamour. here. Most of it far from robe, the closed are half-robe or coat more than full dress robe that you can show your legs and shoes. They have various choice for glamour caster if you don't have bias with it. Long coats and Tailcoats aren't robe and they fit with RDM aesthetic.
