Real trolls will keep paying just to keep posting. I mean you can just pay one month every two months (since you can post on the forum up to 30 days after you last logged on). So even if we suppose of full monthly fee of $13, that's $6.5 a month to keep trolling.

I know at least one person who didn't mind paying to troll (coming back after being banned means buying a new box), name's start with a gift, end with a horse.

Also keep in mind that even $13 is nothing to a lot of people as well, I personally kept paying for FF XI almost a year while barely logging in to play (just saying hi to LS mates from time to time etc.). And really didn't care much about these $13. (that's like £8...)

Simply because that's a placeholder for how much someone could play for the game having two characters. It could be 18 for three characters like it could be 12 for 1 character alone. Just pointing the mid-worse case of money spending, since we don't know how much we'll spend less =)

Right because there are just hundreds of thousands of PS3 players who are looking for an MMO to pay month for.

Audience is very, very small compared to PC.

XIV wont ever sink, it wont ever swim.

Its just a boat, on a small river, on its own. It has perks, and its doors are open. It will gradually lose players and gradually gain players.

Its not going to have a big spike and flood of players anytime soon, around 2.0 it might depending on marketing but most will be PC returning and then some may even quit again due to competition and we'll be back to how we are.

But doesnt matter, SE have faith and wont allow this game to ruin the FF brand anymore, so they has to make it work.

Besides the crowd that own ff11 for ps2 and xbox... there are more console ff MMO players then pc. always was always will be.

Not to metion this game demands a custom made expensive PC. Not many people who wanted to play played the game yet. (Which is a good thing really lol)

Ps3 and console audience is much bigger then PC.

i like this post, honest & true in most parts.

I also like the game, however the endless daily things to do in-game feels like a long drag.
Hence why i havent played for 1-2 weeks now, i want to like the game.

But having to wait 1 year for all the things missing and stuff i wanted since release....is it worth paying now?
Just for a mount, its a tasty offer but....im not sure anymore.
I hope SE succeed's with FFXIV, it looks promising.

Feels even more unconvinced right now.

The game needs something really diffrent, i wish i knew what.

Well.... if i had a mooghouse / housing, wich i could remodel,
decorate, craft / sell furnitures etc i guess i'd be happy to pay,
and it would keep me busy a long time...then ya maybe. (ya ya ya...2.0...)
