A12 savage World first 3 days after patch

You know SE, you want to dumb down raids more? That is fine. Just don't call it Savage anymore. If my group, and several other groups can clear A9S within two hours without a strategy to back us up, that is not Savage.

They say the dumbing down was to compensate the "complex" lv.60 rotations. I am going to call them out on this. They are going to go back to their charts and numbers and go "Ohh more people are beating it, that means it needs to be this way now." and keep it like this for 4.0.

Don't worry guys, we will continue to dumb down Savage till it is easier than Story mode!

The game needs a midcore difficulty like actual Creator Savage and other hardcore like previous Savages. All players happy.

Alexander normal is a joke that doesnt fill anyone, have its utility to gear up and see the story but after you clear it the first day its not very challenging. I hope they'll have enough resources to do this en 4.0.

Have you used duty finder recently? The raid may be a joke in theory, but once duty finder is involved, your challenge is the playerbase - not the raid. And the devs can't fix players who are unsure of their roles, responsibilities, and moderate rotations.

Story mode is cleared within a day for most people, then becomes a chore the first month to fight other people for parts. After that people usually just abandon it. But hey, screw proper raid structure if it means people get their story, right?

That is because this game has a pretty bad learning curve. Nothing besides the Primal EX of the month prepares you for raiding. Not to say it would magically make players better, but the effort to make people better is minimal on the developer side. This game caters to bad players, not casual/midcore/hardcore.

Pretty much this. Say what you will about the skill level of XIV players or whatnot, but realistically, Gordias/Midas clears were too freaking low and this looks to be remedying that. Nobody should care that it's too easy for "some" people - it shouldn't be "too hard" for MOST people.

I dont mean to remove normal mode, but we can't rely on that players. The game needs 3 different difficulties imo.

Creator Normal is pretty easy, just more unforgiving than usual especially A11N with lethal mechanic combinations at some points which can cause a wipe in about 5 seconds. I found that one harder than A12N.

Adding an inbetween difficulty seems a good solution but fighting the same 4 bosses on 3 different difficulties sounds kind of tiring.

That... isn't a great answer. Granted, it's understandable for people to get a little drained a couple weeks or even a month before the next patch. The concern some have now is if Savage goes down fast, then a six month raid couldn't eve last half that time. Now we don't yet know how midcore players will handle it. So, again, it's too early to judge. But it's still a fair to consider.

Nonetheless, let's say Savage does go down fairly easy. Would you say basically the entire patch being completed within a month and a half is good for the game's longevity? The midcore playerbase is much more comparable to the casual crowd in terms of numbers. If even they start to run out of content early. That isn't good.

I agree that knocking down the difficulty was a good choice. I used to raid a lot and cleared Fcob and Gordias before nerf/echo. With that in mind there were few groups on my server that did and many of them raided three days a week. Yes, we might not be top tier but people are trying hard and putting in a lot of effort towards clearing. Most people should have fun, most people should be given a chance.
