I do hope there are still people not on all 50s and doing regular parties next month.
...oh, who am I kidding, that won't happen.

I believe i read somewhere that yoshi isnt going to change the current exp system due to the fact that having multi classes is a must for higher level content ( can be read in its entirety on zam's homepage )
ZAM: Many players think reaching level 50 should take longer, and they believe crafters take a hit because nobody needs low-level gear because of the ease of leveling up. Are there any plans to adjust the rate of experience gain?
Yoshida: We make adjustments regularly, but we have no plans of slowing down the leveling process. Under the armoury system, there are many instances where you have to use the abilities from multiple classes. Also, supporting low-level gear would involve adding more low-level content. However, as is the case with all MMOs, low-level content is completed very rapidly, so there will be many cases of players buying items from other players. We plan on increasing market usability in patch 1.20, so we expect buyers and sellers to match up better. Thus, we feel like this is not simply an issue of leveling.
Either they keep it the way it is ore they make it more interesting.
There's nothing wrong with a slower grind if the method is engaging. But killing the same mobs for hours a day for months like the old days of XI is just soulless and boring gaming. There's no challenge in it and that's why people are so opposed to it.
I say just give us quick levels and enough cap content to occupy us. Materia is an excellent start which also encourages people to grind while at cap.
I'll have to disagree that the exp needs a nerf. EXP is a bit fast.. for now. However, once level cap increases and you need 125K+ for one level it'll be a bit slower. Also keep in mind that, without the job system, to perform "well" in the current endgame you require skills from pretty much every class.
So you almost certainly have to level all 7 classes to have perfect peak performance per plump party player.
I believe the only true reason that exp seems fast right now is the respawn rate in the strongholds is very quick... which allows you to get those massive chains. Herein lies the problem... if you nerf the spawn rate, the strongholds become to easy and their won't be enough mobs to compensate for all the players there. To lower the exp granted per mob, SE would need to either A.) lower the mob levels in the stronghold, thus making it easier or B.) adjust the entire exp gain formula; which is currently based on player level vs mob level.
Yoshi wants leveling to be easy and allow for players to engage in end-game content. Currently, it's a little bit of a struggle for the main reason that the class system has an unspoken requirement that you "need" to level most classes to be able to perform in endgame. (I.E. Cure / Sac / Second Wind / +attack power skills / defense skills / etc etc etc)
The job system should eliminate some of this "need" to level every class, since players will be bound to a specified set of skills and abilities. Now, this won't make leveling any slower... but will allow for players to engage in end-game content (as more and more arrives) which may actually have a side-effect to the number of exp parties that are out and about.
As the title says "take advantage of the exp boom" because in the future, I can certainly see less of a need to have every class leveled and as more content arrives combined with the job system; less exp parties in general.
Many comparisons with leveling in XI. But how hard was it to get to 50 in XI when the cap was 50?
Serious question, I started playing when the cap was 75, but getting to 50 was not a really big challenge at that time it could be done in a week of serious work (real hardcore will say it's less).
When the cap went up to 80, it took me a few hours of FOV soloing to get my SAM from 37 to 40.
What is a good camp for Level 31/32? My group is struggling to find a good spot. Can anyone post a progression of camps where to go from 32 to 36, etc?
