And I honestly think that making a dancer of all things a healer in a game where every melee uses a dance-step (combo) system is a bit, uh...wasted potential.
They don't need more people to play them, they need people who already play them to level another one so that the queue times for the DPS aren't horrific. those people are not going to be happy if the only way they can level is to do FATEs and Deep Dungeon.
all healers are mages too there's nothing that says there needs to be a balance between physical and magical DPS. physical and magical immunity is insignificant in the majority of encounters. the ones that exist already skew towards physical damage.
They will probably release 3 jobs like Heavensward.
It is hard to say. I definitely want to see an OT like job perhaps maybe Samurai. Healer is really iffy, as you saw with AST, it is very hard to balance and work into. DPS wise I would like to see a caster, or just let Samurai be DPS.
When I said they should add more mage DPS jobs, I said to add more mage DPS jobs, not healer! And for those who don't want to play healer? The sole mage DPS jobs in this game is Black Mage and Summoner which is quite embarassing in comparison to other MMOS! There is a deep lack of mage DPS jobs in this game.
I really hope they learned from 3.0 that we don't want copy jobs. Thats all I wish for for whatever new jobs we get in 4.0
tbh for a balance we need at first a STR melee in heavy armour, a STR melee in light armour and a DEX melee, because of shared gear...
or let's introduce a INT melee like swordfencer or maybe red mage...
and then we need all again and in addition a DEX ranged and a INT ranged...
I say this just from the shared gear PoV
easy...give him mage gear and give him some talents and stances who strengthen his armour to the normal level of a tank. explain it with usage of white or black magic like ice/earth enforced armour, holy powers or something else.
I've also thought why not make a caster tank. the MCH proc system is a perfect example for this, maybe with the procs out of parry...
