Ok i'm getting out of the topic and i apologise but i will explain how it works for me. The both "?!" with the "Are you serious" really explain my shocked surprise when i read you. And yes i think i was calm with the rest of my answer even with the "!" there and there because like i said your argument was quite laughing, and i didn't really get out of the line. So plus that, there's the spaces : i am French. In France we always put spaces between a word and a "!" or a "?" or ";" or ":". But not for "." and for ",". You can go see in the French forum, it's like that. When we write, even doing it on paper, we always do that. It's for better accuracy of the emotions and meanings of the phrases. I'm sorry if thoses spaces has other meaning for american/england people but that's how i naturally write.Quote:

Afterwards i bought myself a large and my GF bought her old medium(previously mentioned FC) as personal housing.
Why beg for gil? do you know how hard people work to get there crafts up timewise and make money? I just don't see why to beg. I've helped/bought houses for people before.. but not gonna do that for strangers, sorry i spend alot of time crafting and making gil in the process but not to just give it away. Instead of making topics like this, spend some time IG to level crafts/gather classes and you'll have a house very soon.
I've seen people make quite some money even with low level crafts. -

I honestly don't see the big deal about it.
In the real world, we have beggars on the street who blatantly write on their sign: "Need money for drugs". And people give them money and tell them to have a good time :rolleyes:
If someone wants to beg for money, let them. If someone wants to give them money because they get enjoyment out of the joy of others, let them as well.
Personally, I'd never beg for anything, but I also do not enjoy "productive" gameplay, so I'd never be able to afford a large house on my own. So I probably wouldn't say no either if someone I know wanted to gift me one on their own? ;)
I mean, I do the same on a smaller scale. Like spending money on soil and seeds to make gardening minions which I then just gift to people in the streets. I'm friends with crafters who just hand out valuable outfits to people on the street. It's nice to see someone happy, so if you have a lot of Gil, giving the OP enough for a small house is not different from me giving out a 600k minion.
Some people take her request way too serious, with this American mindset of "no one ever is allowed to have something unless he worked his ass off for it". -

Yes. Lets build a community with the mindset that goes like "Why should i put in time into a GAME(get it?) to work for something i kinda really do wanna get. when i can just ask money to put in their time and do it for me.
Thats what is wrong with 90% now a day anyways. People expect an easy ride. need an instant gratifcation with almost anything. Otherwise their attention span will not hold on for very long before knocking on the forums for something. -

Nobody said anything about not putting time into a game, or about instant gratification for that matter.
I spend a lot of time in the game - with the things I enjoy in the game. I do not enjoy crafting, so why should I do it when the whole point of a game is to enjoy one's time?
But with the things I do enjoy, I help others. Why is it so wrong to take some of the "very much" one has and help others with it who have nothing?
Just because it was hard for you when you started out?
Does everyone else have to suffer just because you suffered once?
The first person to invent the wheel, should he have also said "omg how horrible, people expect an easy ride nowadays, I had to carry everything on my back before I invented the wheel, they should as well so I'll hide my invention from them"?
Have you never read a guide or used a parser or one of the many other things people worked hard at to make just so you have it easier, coming after them?
So actually, YES, let's build a community where 90% of the people have a mindset of "I do what I'm good at and share it with others and they do what they are good at and share it with me", because I'm sure that would be a more friendly and more happy community than what we have on several servers right now >.>
(And before this gets personal - I have a house and am quite content with it; and I get by just fine with what money I have and if there is something I can't afford and I'm not willing to work for it I'm fine with not having it too, because, as I said before, I'd never beg for anything. But I feel like your post doesn't just attack those who want help but also those who are willing to give help instead of going full Ebenezer Scrooge on everyone else) -

Well i think there is a big difference between begging and wanting something.
If people just sit and beg, i won't give them anything. I've given plenty of stuff away in the game, going from a simple minion to an actual ingame house.
The difference for me is, I know and seen people do as much as they can, but what they can do is limited. And i love to help them out a bit.
The issue for me is that alot of people just sit there and expect it to be handed to them. And honestly. How can you even relate this with who ever invented the wheel.
Its crystal clear, You have people who just sit and beg and expect someone to put in the work for them, And you have people who put in the work themselfs. Regardless if they make 10k/100k/1M a day/week.
There is nothing wrong with helping people. The problem is some people take that for granted and ask for more & bigger things. But i guess we just see things different in that aspect :) -
