Nope, it's there even if you play a male character. Thancred comments that he thinks Aymeric is in love with you, and it's very clear Harchfaunt was as well (This was more explicit in the JP version where he was cleary adventurer-sexual)

I prefer to think that the WoL is like the Doctor. Spends his whole life saving the world countless times, is seemingly immortal, has limitless amounts of energy, and surrounds himself with companions who would risk life and limb to be with him...only to get the same target on their backs just because they associate with him.
(confirmed TARDIS mount)
Like we do plenty my only issue is that it never happens in cutscenes when big things are going on. I understand that it would be tougher to do this with the job system in place so they would have to make may versions of one cutscene, but why not do this a couple of times at least rather than leave our character standing there and just reacting
This is how I understood that scene too and his relationship with Lucia has always been pretty obvious to me.
A bit off topic but I can't be the only one that doesn't trust Aymeric AT ALL. Dude is like some shady-ass politician and everything he does has some ulterior motive behind it. I think it's even pointed out at least once by Alphi.
You're the only one. I think Aymeric is turning into what Alphinaud used to be in 2.0, but it's not really shady to be honest. He's simply being too reliant on the WOL instead of treating him like a person and is letting the event of peace between Ishgard and dragons get to him.
because of the same reason there is dialogue choices to begin with, to provide an entertaining and immersive way to involve the player in the character's actions in the scene. this is a way to extend that choice to actions, and not just questions directed at us. I would love that, tbh.
It could be possible for us to be at odds with Aymeric enough to have to stop him from killing estinien, or to have Aymeric pull a fast one on us and kill Estinien when we least expect it. it would definitely be tragic if the lull of peace gets him on a crash course with alphinaud and our character.
Except there's a difference; with quick time events involving action/combat, you either succeed and prevent whatever the threat is, or you get your face stomped. With dialogue options/trees, you flesh out how the character acts and is portrayed without changing the story (like with The Walking Dead). If I knew that some QTEs wouldn't change anything, then why would I bother pressing anything if nothing is gained from either side? A QTE in an MMO seems kind of out of place too, especially at this stage of the game.
I'm going to agree to disagree. I certainly don't feel the pressing need to only say "..." except when i feel like saying "...", so I do care about decisions that flesh out our character, regardless of the method. and im not about to start with the phrase "Out of place".
