Well considering they had to scrap a lot the initial ideas they had for MCH (like the attachments and ammo), they'd have to double time it to salvage whatever aesthetics they can. Still kind of a cop out excuse though imo since they opted out with using the same GB model and lunchbox model for every, single, gun.

Even with the animations, it suffers a bit of the same problem as BRD since a lot of them clip onto each other and never really finishes. The animation for Gauss Round is actually pretty nice when you notice the spark effects from your lunch box, but both the impact animation and the spark don't play (or gets cut off abruptly) with an instant cast or another oGCD. Same with pretty much any other ability that isn't ricochet, even the sound cuts off for something like Misery's End/Heartbreaker if you use another skill and cancel it's full animation.

Not only the animation but I'd love it if the effect of wildfire was changed so that if you killed the mob that had wildfire on it, it would spread (get it?) to all other mobs in range. It feels like a real waste when the mob dies before wildfire goes off and basically makes it so I rarely use it on trash pulls. If it spread to all other targets if the target died it would be a good way to do some pretty good AoE damage on trash.

Wildfire your primary target, AoE and use your single target oGCD's on the primary one, if it dies the wildfire spreads to everything else and goes off.

Let's put a gauss barrel on that and ruin it.

That's actually the first gun I've liked the Gauss Barrel on.

You get a hellfire explosion bomb when I get a proper god damned lightning bolt as a Black Mage.

At least special weapons should get unique lunchboxes, similar to how the special DoH weapons give you unique tables/anvils/countertops, when crafting. Maybe the relic gun will give us a unique one.

I'm sure the hand wave they use to explain the hovering GB is that they attach/bind using magnetism or aether rather than being physically attached. So, the 'barrel' hovers over the edge of the gun and when the bullets pass through, they become charged and increase their velocity (like a real life rail gun), but in order to charge your shots, your aethotransformer needs to consume some aether from your body much more so than without the GB.

Yeah, it's disappointing that AST have their deckholder (?) change depending on weapons, yet MCH's fanny pack look the same. So far it seems like weapons you can dya can change the color of GB and the pack too
