But what is a problem? That is very subjective. Take the Armory space for example, for every 50 people that think it would be nice to have room for all the disciplines and glamor gear in the Armory chests there are 10 that would stick to the adage of "Just because you could doesn't mean you should" and 100 that would just stick to one class anyway and not level others (plus SE also allows traditional alts as well, and allows them on the same server at the standard sub tier)Quote:

Although it is true that many things didn't need fixing. (Steps Of Faith :( ) But many things people are talking about are due to something actually being messed up or sucking.
People complain about Alex NM because its brain-dead easy. People complain about Savage because it's.... well brain-dead hard. People complain about Alexander itself because the story is bad. People got Coil. Coil was great. Because coil was so great, when players hear of the new raid, their expectations are higher and they want the new one to be as good or better than the old.
Complaint Examples:
- Why are the HW hunts so worthless? Where's the gear? They are useless once you get Alex
- Why are there only 2 EX Dungeons? It was way better when there were 3
- Why is the Research Facility not in the roulette? Like the old main scenario dungeons?
- Why is the new gear so ugly and bland? The other stuff...

When were there 3? Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep were the "endgame" dungeons at 2.0 while yes now they are making it 2 dungeons per VU with "Island exploration" you can't belly ache until we see more about island exploration aka after today's live letter.
Honestly the issue with "roulette" is just players being selfish, we didn't have roulette when game first came out, took longer to cap tomes, now we have a way to cap quicker and yet people just wanna do it quicker or have more "options" even if it takes away from making more substantial content. now honestly, if island exploration turns out to be lackluster, feel free to complain about the only two dungeons comment but make sure ye have your facts straight cause endgame was only 2 dungeons at the start the only difference was roulette wasn't released yet so players didn't notice the "lack of roulette" from 2 dungeons because it wasn't an option at the time. -

I finished it 18/20 times, the fight is actually very easy if people actually know what to do, and it takes all of 2 min to explain the mechanics. Most of the time that was wasted during this fight, was due to waiting for replacements that left before starter barrier even dropped.Quote:

They don't need to stop listening to the player base because this is what made them successful in the first place. They need to listen more than just the official forums. A periodically survey in-game with a small reward for the time it will require will be nice to take a massive answer if they feel they need to hear more people. It's not that easy to please both the hardcores and the casuals let's be honest.

SWTOR was another game where the player base was totally ignored for a long time after launch. (Yes, I understand it had other issues, but that was a glaringly obvious one for players on my server.) Constructive feedback with numbers and facts to back it with a sizable chunk of the population in support of it were ignored completely. It was frustrating for my friends and I to play an MMO where the devs gave off the attitude that they didn't care about the player base.
While listening to the vocal minority can be damaging sometimes, not listening at all can be catastrophic. I think the companies that do the best take in constructive feedback and filter out most of the rest.
