Can you tell me bards why so much hatred....

Ok... I wont continue this... Ill just say a last sentence...
For those who don't wanna play it because of its lack of moviment now are just throwing, in my opinion, the uniqueness of this job that now have 2 ways of playing and maxing both will make you be more archer than before

For my bard it is not losing my mobility that caused me to stop playing on her. It's the cast times, the loss of a fair chunk of dps from auto attacks, the screwed up procs and rotation, ever since we're forced to use WM. Oh and Barrage is useless in WM since it affect auto attack. I tried to get the hang of it for a few weeks but the job is just too different now. My bard used to be my main. RIP :(

Barrage now triples the damage from weapon skills instead of auto attacks, but yeah my sentiments exactly

brd are whining because we are in the same spot we where in 2.0 (DPSWISE) but now we have to endure casting times...

and by that i mean , if melee are 100% , caster 90% and brd 80% in 2.0 and now we are at 80% too but have to cast skills..... then what we gained in 3.0?

bard is your main but you didn't even re-read the tooltip changes to the skill. On your main. Okay.

Gameplay. The issue is gameplay. Pumping out more DPS isn't what makes a class fun, but rather how you achieve those numbers.

Add to this the fact that BRD has been a certain way for 2 years (and plays rather well). The job was taken in a direction that makes little sense for what it is and was poorly implemented all around. The fact they gave MCH the exact same mechanic didn't help things. It was an obvious shortcut, and all it's done is split the community. You have the guys that adjusted, and the people who picked ARC/BRD because of how it played and now feel bait and switched.

And trust me, if you were bait and switched on your favorite job, you'd be pretty pissed as well.

If you play MMO's you have to take with a grain of salt that the job you play may completely change in an expansion or two down the line. Classes in Vanilla WoW are nothing like they are now.

Casting times added a skill level BRD needed. Sure it needs some adjustments to have the procs and OGCD's flow better, but it works just fine. On either BRD or MCH, I actually have to plan my next move accordingly to how the boss is going to react next. In 2.0 on BRD, only thing to do after the opener was only worry about boss mechanics and if someone needed a song. It was really a brain dead job. Even then, BRD is still the easiest job to play of the DPS. It is still easy to be mobile if you actually take time to learn how to react and move in between GCD's.

I dont know why people are so angry about the whole cast bar thing.

I am still angry about the whole "bow" thing.

The difference is that classes from vanilla WoW generally changed for the better. BRD changed for the worse. The redesigns were also done from bottom to top, not arbitrarily thrown in at a late point in the class' lifespan.

Consider that vanilla WoW paladins, druids and shaman were basically forced to be healers and little more. The general public laughed at you if you wanted to tank or DPS. When hybrids were changed in WotLK, that entire mentality went out the window and a world of opportunities opened up. Hunters being changed from mana to focus was also a change for the better, and again, an entire redesign of the job came with it from bottom to top. Even the more questionable decisions like Holy Power for paladins came with a redesign; Blizzard could have inserted it at lv81 but instead properly redesigned the class' aspects to work with the new resource from bottom to top.

And let's not bring in the "skill" argument. All you're doing when you mention that is trying to belittle those who dislike WM.
